The Lie…Genesis 3 pt 2

And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:  For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.(Genesis 3:4-5)

The revelation of the fall of man from his position of favor and communion with God,  comes down to the fact that the first man and woman, believed the lie. The Lie promised the first couple self-realization and autonomy, but as Peter would say centuries later, “promising them liberty” they have become “slaves of corruption”.

The lie of the serpent in the garden is the underlayment of all false religion, philosophy, psychology and the entire humanistic ideal that has so shaped our modern age. We see that the attraction to the Lie is stronger than ever before, and exerts a constant influence on education, law, medicine, the media, entertainment, literature and even popular religion.

What are the components of this pervasive and multifaceted lie? Lets unpack it…

*You shall not surely die-  The nature of death is that it is a punishment of God, “the soul that sins…shall die”, “It is appointed unto man once to die, and then the judgment”,”The wages of sin is death…”. This is what all men know instinctively and is the aspect of death which men fear the most.

But the serpent’s lie is a direct denial of all of the above. One out of seven people in the world believe in Hinduism, with its false doctrine of re-incarnation, a direct echo of the serpent’s lie. No wonder that false religion generally views the serpent positively, as the source of wisdom.

The cults are almost universal in their denial of the eternal conscious judgment that Jesus warned about, when he spoke of a “hell prepared for the devil and his angels”, but which would also be the eternal home of the unrepentant.

Buddhism teaches Nirvana, “nothingness” as the end of all men, an idea that is catching on rapidly in the post christian west.

The serpent is currently hissing through neo evangelicals that “You shall not surely die”, inspiring them to write books which teach that God’s love will not allow for a final, firy judgment.

The ridicule and relegation of the doctrine of eternal punishment as being  an outdated  relic of a dark and bigotted past ,is just another form of the lie, that “you will not surely die”. Satan doesn’t men to consider their own end.

*For God knows …- This aspect of the lie is a direct assault on the goodness of God. The serpent would have men to believe that if there were a God, He is holding people back from something good, He is blocking their self-realization, because the God of the Bible with his laws and strictures, has put men into bondage.

We are told in the second Psalm that this is the very counsel “the Kings of the earth and their rulers have taken together against the Lord and His Anointed One”. Part of the last days scenario is the fact that they get to the point where they “Cast off the bonds” of the Lord and his Christ, and “throw his cords away” from themselves.

It is almost as if the ruling class, the molders of opinion, the entertainers, educators, the writers, journalists, in short the culture shapers, have  taken the same ungodly counsel (in the Universities?). It comes to a head, there is a cultural revolution, an outcry, ‘Away with the bondage of Judeo Christian religion, with its narrow definition of marriage, sexuality, gender, and strict moral code’! Does that sound familiar?

* The day you eat of it, your eyes shall be opened.…Another aspect of the lie, that God Knows… is that there is a knowledge that God has, a liberating secret teaching ,which could be accessed by his creation, through the attainment of knowledge. God of course doesn’t want to share this liberating knowledge. This is the lie that explains the constant appeal, of mystery religion, gnosticism, and the occult. The “lost books of the Bible” or “Bible Codes” presupposes this very idea.

The knowledge is often experiential, first you eat the forbidden fruit, and then you are enlightened…you get in on the secret knowledge through a rite, an initiation into the promised “enlightenment”.

* You shall be as gods…- Here we come to the very heart of the lie, that man can gain a knowledge, or undergo a mystical experience that will allow him to be as (a) god… . What would it mean to be as gods…? God has no limits, God is Sovereign, independent and all-powerful, God makes his own rules. God answers to no one but Himself.

The lie has thoroughly leavened the world. One billion Hindus seek godhood as the goal and end of the burdensome cycle of re-incarnation. Buddhists seek an enlightenment that will make them as the Dalai Lhama, an “enlightened god”. Mormonism’s goal is the realisation of godhood. There are heretical sects in Christianity which propagate the lie, such as the Word of Faith movement.

The doctrine of evolution also is a form of the serpent’s Lie. The  premise that mankind is on an upward progression, on the verge of the next phase of his development, is nothing new,in fact it as ancient as the religions of Babylonia and of ancient Greece.

From the Tower of Babel onward, man is constantly erecting pyramids, Ziggaruts, step by step programs, and ever ascending degrees of initiation into some kind of oneness with Deity.

Usually it is the priests or emperors who are said to attain godhood, but the fact that there is any deified man, such as a Pharoah, a Ceasar,  Dalai Lhama or a Pope, shows the rest of us the potential that lies within each of us.This is the logic of our constant “hero worship”.

Man  projects onto his “Stars”, celebrities, Athletes, entertainers, political heroes, and religious figures, his own aspiration to be as a god. Thus the lie is ever affirmed, that mankind can ascend, he can indeed rise up to the level of God.

The “mystery of iniquity” is the New Testament term for this false belief, that man can rise up, and exalt self over God, and above all that is worshipped as god. This spiritual principle of human deification comes to its final climax in the emergence of the “man of sin”, who is only the embodiment of all of the aspirations of the unbelieving world, which shall one day worship him.

Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God…For the mystery of iniquity doth already work… (2 Thessalonians 2:4,7)

The Divine counter to the lie, “the mystery of iniquity”, is something called in the New Testament, “the mystery of godliness”.  Can man evolve to the point of being exalted above god, beyond worship or fear itself? Can we ever “be as gods”? Never!

The problem is that the Truth that counters the Lie is less flattering. The fact that  man is  impotant ,bankrupt and ruined by his fall into sin, is hard to swallow to the generation raised on humanistic optimism. If man is to be saved, God must become a man, God must descend to save us, God must come down to us in our low estate.

And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.(I Timothy 3:16)

And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.(John 3:13)

  1. “Christ in us the hope of glory”.This means, does it not that we are one with God through Christ Jesus? If Christ is in us does that not make us God men? I welcome your response Pastor Randles.

  2. Wayne says:

Christian theology traditionally makes a distinction between “theosis” and “apotheosis”.
Orthodox Trinitarian Christianity views Jesus Christ as the pre-existing God who undertook mortal existence, not a mortal being who attained divinity.
The purpose of that mortal existence is our only hope of eternal glory!!!!!

    • The eternal hope of glory is predicated upon The Divine Christ living within us.If Christ is the center of our beings, then through Him we’re raised up to His Divinity at the same time remaining fully human in His Image. He died to live within us.Prior to His death none of this glory was available to man.

  3. Jared says:

And My glory I will not give to another (Isaiah 48:11). There is a glory for man to be had in Christ, but to say that Christ makes us co-equal with the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit is reading something into that scripture (Colossians 1:27) that simply isn’t there. The verse is clearly saying that the indwelling of Christ in us is glorious in and of itself. Its amazing, its incredible, its a marvel to comprehend. Additionally, it goes on to imply that we can’t have ANY glory without Christ AT ALL (I’m sure we all agree on that), but with Christ we CAN and should hope for glory. It simply says that there is a glory to be hoped for in Christ and makes no mention of that glory being in any way, shape, or form equality with God or His Glory.

    • Hi Jared; John17;22 quotes Jesus as saying “and the glory which You gave Me I have given them…..In verse 23 He says that God The Father loves us wherewith the same love He has for The Son[I think that is profound] Second Peter;1;2 says…..we may be partakers of the Divine Nature. The glory that we can have in Christ is Christ expressing His Majesty,Power ,Divine Beauty[ie;His Character] and Truth, in us who have accepted Him, opened our hearts to Him and seek to live His Life and by us interpreting His indwelling Divine Love,Power,Truth and Majesty in deed, look and word according to our own created unique personalities. This Glory so expressed is the Glory of God Almighty Himself. There can be nothing greater than the Life of Christ which we can so live. This greatness is achieved through us engaging in spiritual progress through His proffered Strength.
We in our humanity are not equal to God The Father but The Christ in us is.Therefore,
we are human temples which enclose His Divinity. When we engage in inner reform we release The imprisoned Divine Power of Christ in our lives through which He can do greater things than He could do in His own physical body when on Earth[John 14;12]In this way the Glory of God is revealed through us,therefore, the Glory of Christ in us is equal and one and the same as the Glory of God and is God because God’s Love Power and Truth is One and indivisible with God as The Word of God Is.
The above analysis is a species of Christian panestheism as apposed to Hegel’s
pantheism. Christian panestheism is outlined in John 15;20 which means God in us and us in God. Thanks for your initial response.

    • Maureeen Leigh says:

Jared, well said. To say we are raised up to His divinity is not right or true. Personally it is amazing to me to have His spirit living in me, since before that I was an unforgiven sinner. And He will not give His glory to another.
      God does not change !

      • glynn says:

To be raised up to His Divinity does not make us equal with God, that is impossible. It means to become God like in character and purpose. It also means to be in Christ and have Christ in us{jn17;23 and Jn17;26].

  4. Wayne says:

The heresy of apotheosis has always been with us and is, as Pastor Randles so eloquently and biblically portrays, the delusion with which Satan successfully caused Adam and Eve to forfeit the eternal glory that God had in store for them.

We must resist all such nonsense and remain faithful to the clear teaching of HIS WORD in order to have any hope whatsoever of sharing in the eternal glory HE has planned and prepared for us.

    • Maureen Leigh says:

      Thank you Wayne;
to say we are equal to God because we are partakers of His nature is totally grabbing the wrong end of the stick. We must never forget that through Jesus’ sacrifice and our acceptance of this, and repentance toward Him, we will one day enter into glory.
I am learning more about the delusion . Jacob Prasch book Shadows of the Beast is sure to help when I can get some quiet times to read it. Pastor Bill blogs are just amazing, I love the simplicity and no nonsense attitude, as we in Yorkshire say “never call a spade a spade if it’s a shovel” !! (well I say it anyway !)
      God bless you brother

  5. The christian man is called to High Honor by The Living GOD to execute the written judgement on the nations, peoples, their kings and nobles. The christian man has GOD given Divine Authority to give non condemnatory judgement on holy angels and condemnatory judgement on the devil and his angels. The christian man is called on High to sit down with The True and Living GOD on HIS THRONE.This awesome Glory afforded the christian does not apotheosisise the christian but glorifies him into Christ’s likeness.Only a purified christian can be so exulted. This glorified exultation for for the christian did not come cheaply. It came through immense struggle, suffering, pain, loneliness, forsakeness by God and man and horror, unlike any human being has known or will ever know at Golgotha. The christian has to do his part to attain the above mentioned true estate. The christian’s part is to engage in self-effacement,obedience to and love of Christ’s Will, become child like not childish and engage in spiritual progress. The training might be long and the discipline hard.If he succeeds in this he gets the victor’s prize. If not he suffers loss but himself is saved, barely. There is a temptation for laziness but if this and all else is overcome the Glory and Majesty is his.The scriptures fully proclaim the aforementioned glory for the truly successful christian.Check ps149;7-9,1Cor6-3,Rev3-21.These scriptures prove the above to be the teaching and some of the promises of HIS WORD.

  6. Wayne says:

    Genesis 3

    The Fall

1 Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the LORD God had made. He said to the woman, “Did God really say, ………….”

This is the issue for us today!!!!!

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. (John 1:1-4)

Who is the Word? The Word is Jesus Christ.

When one puts fallible man’s ideas over the Word of God, then one is not just undermining the Word of God, but actually attacking the Son of God. We can only know the Father through the Son, and we know the Son through the Word.

To compromise the Word of God is a very serious matter indeed.

(Deuteronomy 17:19) And it shall be with him, and he shall read therein all the days of his life: that he may learn to fear the LORD his God, to keep all the words of this law and these statutes, to do them

We read the Bible everyday so that we relearn to fear the Lord Jesus Christ and to obey Him—the Bible defuses worldly terror and displaces worldly thoughts and clearly warns that the consequence of apostasy (which, of course, is running rampant throughout ‘christendom” today) will be the same as it was for Adam and Eve.

Ecclesiastes 5:1 Guard your steps when you go to the house of God.

Go near to listen rather than to offer the sacrifice of fools, who do not know that they do wrong.

  7. Wayne says:

False teaching has always been with us and will be to the very end.

The Bible repeatedly warns us of the need to remain faithful to the teachings and traditions faithfully taught by the Apostles who received the revelation of Christ once and for all and refused to compromise in any way.

    Such passages as

Matthew 7:13 “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it.
Matthew 7:14 But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.
Matthew 7:15 “Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves.

provide the appropriate emphasis on the simplicity of the Gospel message.

Consequently I must reiterate that spiritual wisdom begins and ends in the Word of God

Ecclesiastes 5:1 Guard your steps when you go to the house of God.

Go near to listen rather than to offer the sacrifice of fools, who do not know that they do wrong.

  8. Wayne says:

It is impossible to LOVE HIM without knowing HIM and it is impossible to know HIM fully with faitfully commitment to HIS Word. As our knowledge of HIM and HIS Word grows our respect for HIS Word and HIS requirement of humble submission to HIS Word increases exponentially so that we would not dare to accept the Apostasy so rampant throughout what was once the “christian” church.

    2 Thessalonians 2:11-12
    King James Version (KJV)
11And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:

12That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

The delusion which God has sent to those who do not love the truth is eye opening in terms of the extent of fraudulent religious activity which has been masquerading as christianity.

I am absolutely amazed at who has allowed themselves to be deceived and the extent of that deception.

  9. Wayne says:

This edition corrects an error in the previous comment for which I apologise.

It is impossible to LOVE HIM without knowing HIM and it is impossible to know HIM fully without faithfully commiting to HIS Word.

I am absolutely amazed at who has allowed themselves to be deceived and the extent of that deception.2 Thessalonians 2:11-12
    King James Version (KJV)
11And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:

12That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

  10. Our sins are not as bad in God’s sight as they are in our sight.Certain sinners have a tendency to magnify their sins over God’s forgiveness. That is why Judas committed suicide.

    • Wayne says:

In John 6:70, Jesus asks the rhetorical question to His twelve apostles, “Have not I chosen you twelve, and one of you is a devil?”

The basic nature of Judas Iscariot never changed. He was not saved and then lost. The man was never saved at all. He never repented, and so, was never born again, and he remained the same old sinful creature he had always been.

Paul wrote, “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new” (2 Corinthians 5:17). Judas Iscariot was not in Christ because his old things had never passed away. Rather, he clung to his old sinful nature to the point that he was even willing to betray Jesus for the sake of 30 pieces of silver (cf. Matthew 26:15).

Every form of disobedience to the Word of God is abominable to God and far worse even than we can imagine. It is only by the grace of God alone that we have any hope of eternal glory whatsoever.

      Romans 6:23

For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

      We MUST always remember

      Proverbs 9:10
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.

  11. Wayne says:

False teaching needs to be resisted totally by all who have determined to remain faithful to HIS WORD until the Judgement Day.

    Proverbs 9:10
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.

If we base our knowledge of God on feelings or indeed anything BUT the truth of HIS Word alone we are setting ourselves up for deception and this is what is happening to so many people today.

  12. Wayne says:

Jesus declared Himself to be condemned humanity’s only hope for reconciliation with God: “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me” (John 14:6).

There is no other way, because God’s perfect justice demanded that the penalty for sin for every human (“for all have sinned”-Romans 3:23) be paid.

Only the perfect, sinless God-Man could and did pay that infinite penalty in full by His death upon the Cross. Only faith in Him reconciles a person with God.

  13. THE HUMAN SOUL HAS INFINITE VALUE BECAUSE AN INFINITE PRICE WAS PAID FOR IT.

  14. Jesus also called St peter satan.Judas threw the thirty pieces of silver{which wasn’t worth much} at the feet of the priests feet and admitted his[I’ve betrayed innocent Blood} sin.He hanged himself because he didn’t believe God could or would forgive him. Thats why some people commit suicide.

  15. Our reconciliation with God is based upon Jesus’s death not our faith in His death{rms5;10} We mustn’t make a god out of faith.

  16. Wayne says:

The Grace of God is received by FAITH alone. Faith is always essential to receiving the blessings and promises of God.

UNIVERSALISM is just another false teaching!

  17. Wayne says:

Pastor Randles has dealt with these heresies more than adequately. No further attention to these heresies is warranted.

  18. Dear Wayne;I encourage you to carefully reread Romans 5;10.HE says”when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son….If St Paul was not reconciled to God before his experience Jesus would not have revealed Himself to Paul.Remember also the scripture 1tim vs 10,”God is the savoir of all men especially believers.

    • Wayne says:

      Thank you Bill.

Do you really believe that HE saves those who do not believe in or even know HIM and that salvation is possible without accepting HIM.personally?

Is this not the basis of universalism?

      • St Paul did not believe in Him nor knew Him when He appeared to Paul. When Jesus showed Himself to Paul He revealed the salvation Paul already had obtained through the death and resurrection of Jesus.

    • Wayne says:

In this context, what do you think of this?

NEWS BRIEF: “Graham Believes Men Can Be Saved Apart From Name Of Christ”, by Robert E. Kofahl, Ph.D., television interview of Billy Graham by Robert Schuller, on May 31, 1997. The following segment is an exact transcript of an excerpt close to the end of the broadcast. Reported by The Christian News, October 20, 1997, page 15.

“SCHULLER: Tell me, what do you think is the future of Christianity?

GRAHAM: Well, Christianity and being a true believer — you know, I think there’s the Body of Christ. This comes from all the Christian groups around the world, outside the Christian groups. I think everybody that loves Christ, or knows Christ, whether they’re conscious of it or not, they’re members of the Body of Christ … I think James answered that, the Apostle James in the first council in Jerusalem, when he said that God’s purpose for this age is to call out a people for His name. And that’s what God is doing today, He’s calling people out of the world for His name, whether they come from the Muslim world, or the Buddhist world, or the Christian world, or the non-believing world, they are members of the Body of Christ, because they’ve been called by God. They may not even know the name of Jesus, but they know in their hearts that they need something that they don’t have, and they turn to the only light that they have, and I think they are saved, and that they’re going to be with us in heaven.”

“SCHULLER: What, what I hear you saying, that it’s possible for Jesus Christ to come into human hearts and soul and life, even if they’ve been born in darkness and have never had exposure to the Bible. Is that a correct interpretation of what you’re saying?

GRAHAM: Yes, it is, because I believe that. I’ve met people in various parts of the world in tribal situations, that they have never seen a Bible or heard about a Bible, and never heard of Jesus, but they’ve believed in their hearts that there was a God, and they’ve tried to live a life that was quite apart from the surrounding community in which they lived.”

“SCHULLER: [R.S. trips over his tongue for a moment, his face beaming, then says] I’m so thrilled to hear you say this. There’s a wideness in God’s mercy.

  19. Wayne says:

Jesus HIMSELF has already settled such apostate doctrine before it starts.

“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” [John 14:6]

Then, Jesus stated this Truth yet another way. “Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep. All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them. I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.” [John 10:7-9] Please notice the several critically important points Jesus made in these verses: 1) He reiterated that He was the door of the sheep. He alone was the door, the path to eternal life. 2) Jesus stated boldly that every one who came before him as the spiritual door to eternal life was a thief and a robber! What are these false spiritual leaders stealing? They are stealing precious eternal souls, for whom Jesus Christ died!! Jesus fully intended this principle to extend to those false religious leaders who would come after Him, as this is an eternal principle: Jesus alone is the narrow door to eternal life. 3) Jesus reiterated, “I am the door”, which correctly implies that all other “doors” are dead ends that can never lead to eternal life.

  20. Wayne; How do you interpret St Paul’s saying “God is the savior of all men especially believers[1tim4;10]

  21. Wayne says:

    Glenn,

Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ is the ONLY way to be saved.

John 14:6 Jesus said unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: NO man comes unto the Father, but by me.

  22. Wayne says:

The Bible is written to lead faithful believers towards conformity to the Will and purposes of God and away from the false teachings, false teachers and false christs’ which abound throughout the false church today.

John 1:14 the Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.
John 1:17 For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.
John 10:9 I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. He will come in and go out, and find pasture.
    John 11:25 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies;

  23. Wayne says:

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth.” Romans 1:16

    • Rms 5;10 says that the only requirement for reconciliation to The Father was the death of His Son not faith in His Son.Those that know about this rejoice, those that are unaware of this hope don’t rejoice. For the unbeliever its an unknown glory to be expierienced after death.

  24. Thanks for sharing Wayne. It seems that the only way to synthesize 1tim4;10,john12;47 with the scriptures you quoted is to realize that believers get especially saved while non believers get a lesser salvation.

  25. Wayne says:

What religious background do you have Glenn? Do you genuinely believe the weird stuff you are posting or are you playing some sort of multiple heresies game?

Basic hermeneutical principles include teaching that the scriptures are always consistent and must not be perverted in any way to support false teaching. The consistent theme of the bible is clearly in accordance with this scripture.

John 14:6 Jesus said unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: NO man comes unto the Father, but by me.

Going to hell for NOT receiving the the salvation available through faith in Jesus Christ is NOT salvation on any level.

  26. The Christ suffers neglect in most of His world. Its our responsibility to compensate Him in this, by us sharing our griefs and joys with Him.

  27. Dear Wayne; The lesser salvation mentioned is not hell.Remember God is the Savior of all men, especially believers 1tim4;10

  28. Jesus said He’d draw all men{not just some men} unto Himself [John 12;32.]. Then He’ll take all men to The Father as you’ve quoted Him.All I’ve being writing is based on scripture as you can read.

  29. On this issue of scriptural consistency, how do you reconcile Rms2;13 with Rms3;20?

  30. Wayne says:

    1 Timothy 4 1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;

The “some” referred to in this scripture is more appropriately “many” in view of the scale of apostasy perverting the Gospel in this modern era.

We are seeing the fulfillment of scriptures such as this on a massive scale in these last days before the return of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Will the Lord find (true) faith in the earth on His return?

That a faithful remnant will remain true to HIS Word is consistent with bible prophecy. Tragically however many are very content to “go to hell with the masses.”

  31. Wayne with all due respect you haven’t answered the question put to you in good faith. How do you reconcile Rms2:13 with Rms 3:20?

    • Wayne says:

      Glenn,

You have not answered the question which might help to explain where your bizarre comments are coming from.

  32. Wayne says:

    Glenn,

Although you seem to have an extremely urgent need for solid bible training I have no intention of running such a basic bible college course on this site.

There used to be many very good introductory courses available. I sincerely hope that some of these are still available. Some may even be available online.

Be very careful however as you really need to find a bible course presented by conservative bible believing and bible honouring christians who have not been deceived by all the nonsense circulating among the apostate church.

Sadly many people holding themselves up as bible teachers today are as bizarre as you are in their misrepresentation/misunderstanding or refusal to accept the clear teaching of the Word of God.

It is this apostasy which Pastor Bill Randles is addressing so extremely well in these series of articles.

I urge you to seek the advice of such men of God before embarking on any particular course of bible study.

In spite of all of this bizarre nonsense however I must reiterate in the strongest possible terms the basic principle of genuine christianity:

Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ is the ONLY way to be saved.

John 14:6 Jesus said unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: NO man comes unto the Father, but by me.

  33. Wayne says:

Every form of disobedience to the Word of God is abominable to God and far worse even than we can imagine. It is only by the grace of God alone that we have any hope of eternal glory whatsoever.

    Romans 6:23

For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

    We MUST always remember

    Proverbs 9:10
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.

  34. Wayne says:

Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ is the ONLY way to be saved and that faith itself is a gift by the Grace of God.

John 14:6 Jesus said unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: NO man comes unto the Father, but by me.

  35. Pastor Rangles: It takes a God and only a God to save angry self righteous men from our self destructive ways.

  36. Wayne says:

What religious background do you have Glenn? Where is all this religious nonsense coming from?
Why are you playing this multiple heresies game?

  37. Wayne says:

    Glenn,

You have every right to your religious beliefs. They are entirely your prerogative. This however is a christian blog site and you are harassing me for reasons only known to yourself.

The most basic principle of biblical or genuine christianity is that faith in the Lord Jesus Christ is the ONLY way to be saved and that saving faith itself is a gift by the Grace of God alone with the scriptures as the sole authority on matters of faith and morals.

John 14:6 Jesus said unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: NO man comes unto the Father, but by me.

This is our Lord Jesus Christ speaking – it is NOT open to debate.

You have aggressively argued against these most basic christian teachings and beliefs throughout this blog site ad nauseum.

You twist and pervert obvious meanings of Bible passages in such an overt way that I doubt Satan himself would dare to attempt in any but the most biblically illiterate/ignorant environment and certainly not in biblical christian circles.

You have made it extremely clear to everyone reading this blog site that whatever religious affiliation you may have is most definitely NOT biblical or genuine christianity.

You are fraudulently attempting to pass yourself off as christian on this blog site and this is extremely offensive.

My only advice to you Glenn is to seek the Lord Jesus Christ with all your heart soul and mind whilst HE may be found and until you do leave Bible believing and honouring christians alone.

    • Dear Wayne:You express your faith in Christ on this blog and I’ll do the same.Let Christ be magnified through us both.

      • Wayne says:

Pastor Randles is an excellent Bible teacher and his articles are a delight to Bible believing christians.

Proverbs 14;2 There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.

Glenn, your religion is NOT christian and certainly not Christ honouring.

The Bible repeatedly warns christians to be wary of people like you and your false teaching.

Go away!!!! Find people who believe and accept your nonsense.

Seek a site which respects your views. New Age philosophy or whatever nonsense you are into may be pleased to hear from you BUT stop destroying this excellent site with false religion.

      • Evevrey thing I’ve written is meant to glorify Jesus.

    • I have not argued against the fundamental doctrines of the scriptures.

  38. The death of Jesus reconciles us to God.His resurrection justifies us to God.Our faith in His death and resurrection does not reconcile us nor justify us only His death and resurrection does that.Nevertheless, our faith in His death and resurrection releases the Power of His reconciliation and justification into our lives enabling us to be conscious of His salvation and gives us a hunger for sanctification. That why it is so important to have faith.Jesus sanctifies Himself so we also might be sanctified[jn17:19.] I believe that Pastor Randles is a sound believing christian.I don’t think he would object to what I’ve written.

  39. M'Kayla says:

Hello again. I very much appreciate the work you have done here. I quoted you from the second section as I found it to be most helpful in a piece that has been swirling in my mind for some time now that I have finally put out there. 🙂

    Blessings and peace to you.

  40. WAYNE;you and I all called to glorify and honor Jesus above all things. Dig it.

  41. Wayne: Are you prepared to have Pastor Randles to judge between you and me?

  42. Wayne: you are right when you say knowledge of the holy is understanding. When we seek to understand we can’t fail to love.

  43. Wayne: don’t underestimate the devil. He’ ll pervert any thing that is intrinsically true and right. What I have written is biblically backed.

  44. I want to correct a former post.As our love for Jesus increases our fear of Him decreases

  45. Every thing I have written is meant to glorify Jesus

  46. Wayne says:

There is an enormous amount of material available to you if you want to acquaint yourself with the nature of the apostasy sweeping through the churches at this time in history.
I suggest you try googling articles such as:
“Anointing or Apostasy = The Legacy of the Latter Rain” by Charles Graves.

Why is Latter Rain, Dominionism, and Kingdom Now Theology False? provides a veritable minefield of information.
