Opening Seals…Revelation 4-7 pt 12

And I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals, and I heard, as it were the noise of thunder, one of the four beasts saying, Come and see. And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer.(Revelation 6:1-2)

In John’s vision, we have been escorted into the very throne room of God himself, and we have beheld wonderful, and mysterious things. God has granted this vision to his servants, that we may know the things which must soon come to pass.

The Lamb, bearing the marks of slaughter, who is the object of worship of men, Angels, cherubim, and Seraphim, and eventually all of creation, was given a book by the One who sits on the throne. He is the only man worthy to take the book and to open the seals thereof…according to the heavenly Hymn.

Evidently the book is the Word of the final consummation of God’s plan to bring about a new creation, and undo all of the effects of the sin of men and Angels. God’s plan is complete, there is nothing any man can do to add or take away from it, this is the meaning of the writing in front and on the back of it. But it is sealed with seven seals.

Only a man can open the seals, because “by man came death, therefore by man must come the resurrection of the dead…” as Paul tells us in I Corinthians 15. Praise be to God, a man has been found worthy to commence God’s plan, for Jesus has prevailed to open the book!

When the Lamb broke open the first seal, there was a noise of thunder, and one of the awesome living creatures, the Cherubim cried out with a loud voice, COME…( ‘and see ‘ is an unhelpful addition).

But rather than Jesus coming back to Judge the world in Righteousness, first a white horse rides onto the scene. The rider is armed with a bow, wears a crown and goes forth to conquer.

Jesus will come soon enough, and on a white horse, wearing many crowns, but this isn’t Jesus. it looks to be an imitation Jesus, who must ride , rule, conquer and attempting conquest,“conquering and to conquer” before Jesus comes back to the earth.

White is the symbol for victory, and for purity. The crown indicates dominion and rule, the bow is the weapon of the feared, unconquerable Scythian warrior. Who is this white rider and what does he portent?

Here is what I believe the scripture teaches; before Jesus comes back to bring in the age of Righteousness, a counterfeit King must ride. He is given a little power, and a little dominion, and a little time to establish a Kingdom. “This is their hour and the power of Darkness”.

The White Horse, indicates that he is a mimic of the real Messiah, and Anti-Messiah. The true Messiah shall come on a white horse, but with a sword and not a bow, and with many crowns ,not with one crown, and with his clothes splattered with the blood of his foes. This is a false Messiah, an Anti-Christ.

Remember that the greek prefix, “anti” does not have to mean “Against” or “in opposition to”. The prefix,”Anti” often means “in the place of” . Is Christ a King? Does he come on a white horse? Shall he wage war in Righteosness? Has he been slain and raised again from the dead?

In all of these this pretender shall put forth a showing. He will have a deadly wound that was healed, he shall wage war in such a way that they will worship Him, saying “who is like the Beast? Who is able to make war with Him?” Much of the sinful world which rejects the real Christ, will gladly acclaim this “pseudo christ” who arrives on the world scene before the actual parousia.

Before he rides, we must remember the teaching of scripture about anti-christ, that it is first a spirit, which has always been with us, fostering a false spirituality, by means of a false anointing,(remember that “Christ” is “The anointed”). John also warned us even in his day that there were already many “antichrists”, ie false prophets and teachers, who deny the Incarnation.

It all looks good, spiritual, and benevolent, for the Spirit of Antichrist is a White horse. Even now there are many neo gnostic christian teachers, who by their teachings are un knowingly prepping the masses of people, even apostate christians, to accept antichrist.

Jesus himself warned us when he said

I am come in my Father’s name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive.(John 5:43)

In the Evangelical church world, there are already so many confessing christians who are conditioned by false teachers, prophets and Evangelists to believe that being a berean is equivalent to being a Pharisee, a “stickler for the Word”. It doesn’t bother them that teachings and experiences have nothing to do with the word of God, they feel they are advanced beyond that.

If they cannot see through obvious charlatans like Kenneth Copeland,Fred Price, Benny Hinn, and Todd Bentley, how will they withstand the rider of the White horse?

The Spirit of antichrist is active, and not just in Pentecostal and charismatic circles. The phenomenon of Barak Obama is another example of the white horse. The willingness to suspend critical thinking, to give the reins of the most powerful nation the world has ever known to a manifest narcissist, indicates that the world is ready to hail any Saviour except Jesus.

An ultimate expression of this AntiChrist spirit is coming, he will look good, even “Christian”, but He will be the embodiment of the new kind of ‘christian’, all tolerant and open to all, like a Mandela, or a Bishop Tutu, someone loved and acclaimed by a world that rejects the true Jesus. He will seem to solve the intractable problem, for he will offer a solution to the Israeli/Palestinian problem that will seem to work.
