Seven Worse Spirits…the West in Prophecy pt 3

When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none. Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished. Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation.(Matthew 12:34-36)

There was a time when the continent of Europe was as dark, ignorant and backwards as any corner of ancestor worshipping Africa, or anywhere else in the idolatrous third world. Warring tribes slaughtered each other, indulged in Human sacrifice, worshipped and deified aspects of nature, and feared Shamans and Druidic Priests, creating an incredibly cruel world of darkness, fear and superstition.

I wonder if we Westerners truly appreciate that point in Acts, when the Apostles assayed to go east into Asia, but were impeded by the Holy Spirit and sent instead into Europe. This was the beginning of what we know of as the Western Civilization, the Judeo Christian world. It took centuries, but the Gospel prevailed over paganism, light shone in the darkness, the demons were driven out, and a Christianized civilization developed, which would eventually elevate the whole world.

But in the past two or three centuries, we have been flowing away from the old Christian consensus.

The seeds of man centered humanism were planted in the Renaissance, and countered somewhat in the Reformation,  but were to fully flower in the Age of Enlightenment, in which Human Reason was exalted by some , over the Revelation of God in Christ and in the scripture which the West was once confident in.

The French Revolution was a terrible portent of things to come, a violent overthrow of the remnants of any Judeo Christian order in a nation, all in the name of Liberty,Equality and Brotherhood. The apostle Peter warned us of those who “promise Liberty, but they themselves are slaves of corruption”.

The “revolution ” which rocked France was an atheistic affair, the churches were profaned, a harlot was crowned “goddess of reason” in the Notre Dame Cathedral, the wrk week was extended from 7 days to 10 (to rid themselves of the Biblical cycle of seven days), and the calendar of years was reset to the year one!

But there would be no liberty, Equality or Brotherhood without Christ, certainly atheism couldn’t achieve it, so the “revolution” ended up as a bloodbath, and the only way order could be restored to the unruly streets of France was by the accession of Napolean, a strong, ruthless leader. He trained cannons on a mob of Protestors and opened fire.

Jesus warned that seven worse evil Spirits would flood into the house which is swept clean but empty, for there can be no real Spiritual vacuum for long. People who no longer believe in the God of the Bible, or fear Him, will instead have to fear various “isms” , idols in the form of ideologies.

Consider the centuries since the French Revolution, and which have shaped the West as we know it today to varying degrees. Jacobinism, Darwinianism, Atheism, Communism, Socialism, Fascism, Existentialism, are some of the powerful, and at times cutting edged philosophies which have gripped Europe, her former colonies across the World, and in some cases, such as in the case of Communism, have spread to much of the rest of the world, like a communicable disease.

These Philosophies are the vessels by which the Evil Spirits which inhabit the west now express themselves and insinuate themselves throughout our culture.

The nearest thing for people who once feared a God,  the “only True God and Jesus Christ whom He has sent”, would be to have the State as God, and various strong men such as Napolean and Mussolini, Hitler, Stalin, teal, as Messianic personalities to worship. Thus Atheism has hollowed out much of Europe and the West, and weakened it to the point of inability to resist such maladies as socialism and Fascism.

The West which once believed in Heaven and Hell and final judgment, is more practical these days, she now believes in various earthly Utopias, made possible by science or economic planning, no more “pie in the sky” but heaven on earth, made to order by all powerful Government, and brought to pass by various pseudo Messiahs.

The Kings of the Earth and their rulers, have truly taken counsel together against the LORD and his Messiah,  and have embarked on an ongoing , two hundred years plus, liberation movement.

Now modern Man is going to liberate himself, through politics, science ad economics. We have all seen various valid Civil Rights campaigns and have rejoiced in them out of sense of fairness and human decency. But the trajectory goes far beyond simple Civil Rights, thus we have Feminism,(which has “liberated” much of the west from the family, marriage, Biblical sexual roles, child bearing and femininity itself!)!

The West is currently like the man among the tombs, who was so liberated, that no one could bind him with chains! He was free of people, accountability, conventions and mores, He was even free of clothes! But where do we find him in Mark 5 ? Depressed, cutting himself and crying, and among the tombs of death.

The Christian ideal of family has been attacked, hollowed out and vastly denigrated, perverted and destroyed. Perhaps the last and greatest insult to it is the institutionalization of “Gay Marriage”.

The gender confusion in our modern world is an indicator as to how sick and exhausted our depraved society has become. Why did we forsake our God and worship at other altars? The West is a house possessed of seven worse Spirits!

The sanctity of human life itself has been under assault, to the point where in America alone more than fifty million precious unborn children have been murdered. Truly the West is possessed now, by Moloch, and other evil Spirits.

Now the godless portions of the West are being flooded by hordes of Muslims. Islam is like the last opportunistic disease, it had tried to enter the West on several historical occasions, but was thrust out, back when Europe had civilizational confidence and a religion.  Now the Nihilistic leaders of Europe, America, South America, Australia, andBritain, see no reason why restive, violent Muslims shouldn’t be admitted into formerly peaceful society.

It is almost as though our leaders have a death wish for the West, and seek to strip it of anything distinctly Judeo Christian. That has always been my interpretation of Psalm 2 anyway,

Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing? The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the Lord, and against his anointed, saying,  Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.(Psalm 2:1-3)

Mark 10 for the man in the tombs? I believe you have gotten the wrong chapter. Mark 5 is the correct one.

  2. Ryan says:

Yes brother. The west had their house in order at one stage. The seven unclean spirits have entered and are causing chaos. Tragedy upon tragedy. Come quickly Lord Jesus!

Many thanks Bill for your blog/s – man has never learnt from history – your history teaching thru the lens of Gods word is telling – it explains where we are at in a falling world – unless one looks back to better understand Biblical and secular history the utopia the UN and co are enforcing on society today and the attack on freedom of worship, freedom of speech and property rights in the west will end badly – Venezuela comes to mind
Gods word never changes – He is the same yesterday and for eternity – He is a loving God, but righteous and Holy, Jesus is the Way the Truth and the Life – a risen Lord – who suffered and died for sin – He is our Rock – please seek Jesus while He still may be found if you don’t know Him – repent from sin – turn to Jesus each and every day if you do know Him – one needs daily washing by Gods word.
    God Bless

I think you have an idealized and fictional view of the past.

    • billrandles says:

really Marleen? I just think that no where on earth has been perfect but I miss the passing of the Judeo Christian aspects of the West. Thats all. God is judging the whole world and bringing ion a Kingdom, but perhaps if people would think about what happened they would repent. I know and so do you, we can’t ever go back, only forward.

        Yes, “really.”

Repentance is good (in individuals, in truth).
Meanwhile, what really happened historically is what really happened.

Where does the text support your bizarre assertion? Please cite specific quotes from the text above and explain.

“Meanwhile, what really happened historically is what really happened.”

      Who is denying that?

  8. Mike says:

The Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) sent out an email today to all of its workers, celebrating (Gay) Pride Week, extolling and celebrating the virtue of having a transgendered employee that is deploying overseas. It included a short biography and pictures of the individual. It struck me particularly hard since the current Director of DIA is my former commanding officer, of whom I had the greatest respect.

We are a lost nation when our so-called “intelligent” people are so morally bankrupt, but this is the fruit in which you speak of. Isaiah 5:20

  9. Jeanne T. says:

France has never recovered from its revolution.

  10. Jeanne T. says:

    This is an excellent article.

The seeds of humanism were planted in the Garden of Eden with the question, “Hath God said?”. Humanism was fully manifested at the Tower Babel. Babel represents humanism, man’s rebellion against God’s sovereignty; it is man’s attempt to unify against the Most High. And ever since Eden Babel has been manifested in many forms, including the French Revolution (which I believe served as the basis of communism), down to today’s various “globalist” movements in the West, which are exactly the same spirit found at Babel. These movements are ALL in rebellion against Jehovah, and they are ALL setting up the world to accept the final anti-Christ. Humanism has been present since Lucifer defected; it is the original rebellion, the original counter-religion. Many are being deceived, even those who call themselves “Christians”.

We need to be spending time in the Word. If Christians spent half as much time saturating their minds with Word of God as they do perusing the internet daily, they would be better prepared for the the time of unequaled deception and tribulation that is coming, that is already upon the world. Unfortunately, the church in the West, by and large, is not preparing itself for this.

A couple years ago I spent one morning reading through the entire Book of Acts, nonstop. There is something very powerful (i.e., the Holy Spirit) about reading an entire book in one sitting. Now Acts would be a book to memorize and recite in one fell swoop; imagine the power in doing that! But I digress. If a Christian has time (or more accurately, is CHOOSING to spend their time, and don’t deceive yourself, you CHOOSE hose to use your time) to search the internet each and every day, you have time to read a book of the Bible all the way through. I am now committed to going through the entire New Testament in this manner now, as we are in the time of the end. One day we will stand before Jesus Christ and give account of how we used our time. There will be no reward for spending more time searching the internet over diligently searching the Scriptures.

    • Marleen says:

That’s an interesting sentiment on a site that said “the left hates the internet.”

I know, I know. You didn’t say you hate it.

(Besides, it wasn’t true even though someone said it.)

      • Jeanne T. says:

Glad to see you are reading my comments! What Scriptures have you been studying lately? I’ll be going through the book of Hosea, which is what will be the theme of this year’s convocation with Reggie, et. al., in August. 🙂

  11. billrandles says:

Give my regards to Reggie and the gang, I have never met them but admire from afar what they are doing. I have been trying to get brother P Haney to come to my church but he never answers my inquiries…

    • Jeanne T. says:

I’m not sure I will be able to attend, but will certainly watch it live stream. My husband may be having knee replacement surgery here soon (he just had a hip replacement), so I will need to stay home.

I do hope you can get brother Philip to your church. He must be very busy these days. He is a dear brother. I’ve never met anyone like him. Have you read his book? The Holy Spirit is upon him, for sure.

I’m re-sharing, now, parts of each of those posts I just referenced,
because the context of one coming after the other is relevant.

I’ve been aware of this subject matter for a while, but I learned of this individual yesterday.
[I had gone and gotten some shampoo from a hair salon, and saw there a magazine cover with a name I easily did a search for online at home.]

This is another story I hadn’t heard of before, this one before today.
This involved a child who was a “ward” of the state.

I don’t imagine you to be in a hurry to locate my earlier post, but if I see that it isn’t happening (as you have indicated you are willing to post it), I will send it again.

Here is the bulk of the 6:01 pm I mentioned (the rest of it just above).

I see it as curious, maybe troubling (depending), that there would be an extolling of a transgender choice in a life (particularly in the sense we usually [+] think of it). But then I don’t (and I’d venture to say pretty much everyone doesn’t) know the details of that particular life referenced. There have been habitual events of, basically, gender-assignment* surgery (in fact, that might even be the official terminology from decades past). Because of rigid viewpoints and shame and so forth, not to mention mistaken religion, babies born with confusing genitalia have been altered. What then is the individual to do as he/she matures?

    * ( by doctors and parents [etc.] )

Some of the tools used now, that the pure are against, are the legacy of what the pure did in the past to deal with the world as they found it. Chemicals were used to emasculate or castrate homosexual men (which is to say nothing of the practices in history of outright mechanical castration for various reasons or purposes, including as done by one of the church fathers, Origen, at least, of himself). In those days, one was under pressure to be subordinate to unyielding ideology on one hand and whatever had happened to you on the other; authority ruled not only in point of fact by position and power, but in expectations.

[+ What I mean by “the way we usually think of it” is that we usually, off the top of our heads, think a perfectly normal person has decided to maim themselves in adulthood. That is troubling. But then it is also horrifying to me that a healthy baby would be altered (or maimed) at birth or any age soon after or that a child would be changed because of parental (et al.) discomfort. If someone has had to undergo something like that in their life, or has discovered, medically, something they didn’t know before (such as the presence in their body of additional sexual traits or chromosomes), I think we should have more understanding for how things really are.

And if there has been no surgery (in which case the terminology might not then be transgender, but I’m not sure as there is the possibility of hormones or of simply deciding to dress male when knowing one was actually born more boy, regardless of birth certificate), likewise, I think we should have more understanding. Further, we can find some of these facts (like the presence of testicles or ovaries we can’t see) now that we couldn’t before because of our medical and scientific learning. Shall we ponder, therefore, what it means for people who don’t have access to medical tests or concerning those who didn’t have in the past?]
