Treacherous Dealers ,dealing Treacherously…the West in Prophecy pt 9

…woe unto me! the treacherous dealers have dealt treacherously; yea, the treacherous dealers have dealt very treacherously. …

The city of confusion is broken down: every house is shut up, that no man may come in. There is a crying for wine in the streets; all joy is darkened, the mirth of the land is gone. In the city is left desolation, and the gate is smitten with destruction. When thus it shall be in the midst of the land among the people, there shall be as the shaking of an olive tree, and as the gleaning grapes when the vintage is done.(Isaiah 24:10-13)

From the uttermost part of the earth have we heard songs, even glory to the righteous. But I said, My leanness, my leanness, woe unto me! the treacherous dealers have dealt treacherously; yea, the treacherous dealers have dealt very treacherously. Fear, and the pit, and the snare, are upon thee, O inhabitant of the earth. And it shall come to pass, that he who fleeth from the noise of the fear shall fall into the pit; and he that cometh up out of the midst of the pit shall be taken in the snare: for the windows from on high are open, and the foundations of the earth do shake. The earth is utterly broken down, the earth is clean dissolved, the earth is moved exceedingly.(Isaiah 24:16-19)

Isaiah predicted the end times horrors in his mini apocalypse(Isaiah 24-26), and it seems that we are currently living it.

The city of man, that highly technological, godless, post christian. post World War 2 civilization which has rapidly spread throughout the world, has become a city of confusion.

Joy has been darkened, a cloud of terror has descend upon us, and our once vibrant cities of mirth are rapidly sobering up as the truth dawns upon us, that our “Elite leaders don’t have a clue” and certainly do not have our back! The Multiculturalistic idol which our elites have worshipped, “Diversity “has proven not to be our strength but perhaps our demise.

Government was ordained of God and has one legitimate task, to allow for an orderly society by protecting its own citizens.By that accounting, virtually all Western Governments are illegitimate failures.

Evidently, the “new normal” for our once secure nations, is carnage in the streets, broken bodies of men, women and children, streaming with blood and broken toys, courtesy of “immigrant guests” from third world countries, usually Muslim, who have seen the generosity and compassion of the host citizen taxpayers as a despicable weakness to be exploited. In Islam, no good deed goes unpunished.

Our leaders, the so-called “… King of the earth and their rulers…”(the Experts) have betrayed us…“…the treacherous dealers have dealt treacherously…”.

These leaders have dumped upon their taxpaying populations, millions of miserable, ungrateful and downright murderous Muslims, upon peaceful and hard working people, making the streets of their homes unsafe, bringing in rape waves upon their daughters, mothers and even grandmothers, crowding grade-schools with violent offenders, assaulting students and teachers alike, with no consideration whatsoever for those whom they have been charged to serve.

The current “ruling elite” are evil! They are anti-Christs.

Europe has become Eurabia as a result of France and Germany’s bargain with the Devil as far back as the days of the 1974 OPEC oil embargo. In order to keep the flow of oil, agreements were made with the Arabs, which always included provision for mass immigration of North African and Arab populations into Europe. French leadership even allowed for the incorporation of Arab educational standards for French schools particularly in teaching of the Crusades, Islam and the Holocaust.

In America, in spite of vigorous objections in all fifty States to the immigration of millions of Muslims from war zones such as Libya and Syria, the will of the people is over run by the so called Supreme Court, and our treacherous President, who insists on ignoring the warnings of all of his intelligence and military advisors, and placing as many battle scarred Syrians into small town America as he can.

Already reports of rape, child abuse and other forms of violence are emerging in once peaceful towns such as Twin Falls Idaho. There seems to be something about small town “red State” America that is hateful to Obama.

What is even more frightening is the complicity of the authorities in covering the ISlamic nature of the crime wave perpetrated on the Western World by our leaders. When a five year old special needs child was attacked, raped and humiliated by three of her “Muslim immigrant” neighbors, (aged 14, 10 and 8), the town council pretended not to know, the police ignored the girl’s family until they were forced to and the press virtually ignored the story. The little girl is forced to still live next to one of her rapists, while the authorities play it down.

Germany has reverted to its recent Nazi past, as the German police kick in the doors and make arrests, not of the mass rapists and murderers which Merkel loosed upon the country, but of any who would criticize immigration on social media. They are the real criminals, not the mass rapists and those who assault Germans in the streets.

It is almost as though our ruling elites are seeking to remake our Judeo Christian societies by replacement. Did they tire of having to answer to taxpayers in their own country so they just wipe out the Democratic influence of the same by immigration?

In France they call it “The Great Replacement”

The Great Replacement is not a concept, it is not a notion, and it is not a theory: it is only the coining of a name for the most important phenomenon to affect Europe in the last fifteen centuries: namely, the replacement of its population and the changing of people. If they are not blind, anybody who drives fifty miles from the south to the north of Greater London will perfectly understand what I mean; for it is of course a very low moral and ontological conception of what men are, women, nations, civilisations, to expect that you can still have the same nation, the same civilisation, the same identity for a country with different peoples….To keep on with German thinkers and writers, let us say that what has happened is the turning into a nightmarish reality of what was a joke in Brecht’s words:

From another angle,in 1974 The President of Algeria once warned us,

One day, millions of men will leave the Southern Hemisphere to go to the Northern Hemisphere. And they will not go there as friends. Because they will go there to conquer it. And they will conquer it with their sons. The wombs of our women will give us victory…Houari Boumedienne, president of Algeria at the United Nations in 1974-

None less than Qaddafi of Libya, warned us also that millions of Africans would pour into Europe if Qaddafi is removed by the self important powers that be, the Western “Kings of the Earth”. He was the buffer that kept the miserable of overcrowded and failed states of Africa from pouring into Europe.

In his last speech, just hours before he was murdered by the Western-supported thugs the US and EU were hypocritically calling “freedom fighters”, Muammar Gaddafi said: “Now listen you, people of NATO. You’re bombing a wall which stood in the way of African migration to Europe, and in the way of Al Qaeda terrorists. This wall was Libya. You‘re breaking it. You’re idiots, and you will burn in Hell for thousands of migrants from Africa and for supporting Al Qaeda. It will be so. I never lie. And I do not lie now.”(Nairaland Forum)

If there is enough time and of there is enough of a sense of history as we know it that survives the coming barbarism, I believe that this period of time will come to be known as the time of the greatest and most inexplicable and ruthless betrayal of any people by their own (false) leaders that has ever been seen before in history.

Who would be so cruel as to knowingly baptize civilized people who pay taxes and play by the rules in their own lands, with utter savages ? ( Make no mistake, Islam is proven savagery).

Our Leaders are treacherous! Obama, Hollande, Trudeau, Merkel, the EU and you can fill in the other blanks, all of them are treasonous traitors of their own people. The functionaries who enable them and who suppress every bit of dissent of the outrages inflicted upon society are traitors as well. Most of them will never have to live with the consequences of their irresponsible actions as the “little people” whom they rule do.

It will not be their daughters who will suffer being sexually harassed and raped by savages from Muslim lands, nor will it be their sons who will be threatened and assaulted in public, nor their grandfathers or grandmothers who will be cajoled and threatened in their own homes. They live in gated communities, immune from the consequences of their own policies.

But God is taking names and observing actions. They will have to answer to Him.In the meantime millions feel less safe, the joy of lib=ving in a free society is lessened, funerals will be observed and Muslims will continue to be “welcomed” into our societies, so we can wait for the next outrage.

As Isaiah said, The earth is broken and reeling…

The earth is utterly broken down, the earth is clean dissolved, the earth is moved exceedingly.

There is still time to be saved but you had better hurry, for the day of the LORD draws near.Jesus died for your sins, He was raised from the dead and now “Whosoever calls upon the name of the LORD will be saved!”.

When you reject Isaac, God sends you Ishmael…….

    • P.Maureen says:

Thats exactly correct, the Ishaelites are even parading their flags of Hamas and Hezbola in the city square, yet anyone with a Canadian flag is arrested as a terrorist!? -the whole world is backwards upside down and confused on way too many issues, and now when a Christian speaks up with the Truth and of The Truth Holder-Jesus Christ ALL OUR ONLY LORD God and Savior- OUR Creator- they are told even Christmas is not to spoke of in CHRIST Jesus?? huh, what do they believe Christmas is and who do they think its for, certainly not King Jesus, its simple “Happy Holidays”??? what holiday do they think it is- its a “Holi-Day” yet they cant see it?? Even So Come LORD Jesus as Im ready to be caught up to you my God,my Savior my King and LORD. Jesus is truely my Heavenly Father and I His daughter and child. May the Lord bless those trying to know Him, and have Mercy upon the wicked,in Jesus Name. Amen Maranatha

  2. Elizabeth Walker says:

This has obviously been reposted from an earlier date as Trump is president now not Obama and Hollande is no longer president of France.

    • Marleen says:

I don’t know; do you think BR just inserted something about courts upholding the Constitution into an otherwise old post? Maybe.

      • Marleen says:

I thought, correctly, that the opening post mention of court decision-making was not a reference to today’s Supreme Court evaluation.

    • billrandles says:

Yes Elizabeth I often do this, as I think some articles are worth reposting and inserting. I constantly have new readers, and I also think some things are worth repeating.

      • Marleen says:

I figured, BR, you meant the courts rather than the Supreme Court in this portion:

In America, in spite of vigorous objections in all fifty States to the immigration of millions of Muslims from war zones such as Libya and Syria, the will of the people is over run by the so called Supreme Court, and our treacherous President, who insists on ignoring the warnings of all of his intelligence and military advisors, and placing as many battle scarred Syrians into small town America as he can.

Already reports of rape, child abuse and other forms of violence are emerging……

This (below) article (just one — which I found today but which only reflects what I already knew about executive authority being curtailed both on Obama and Trump [the recent decisions per Trump not discussed in this older article] — while the subject matter is widely known by people who pay attention to the courts and politics) shows that the courts have been fairly even-handed on immigration issues.
        http://www.cnn.com/2015/11/09/politics/obama-immigration-appeals-court-ruling/index.html

As far as the accusations in this quoted portion of your opening post (and other ramblings therein), I find them inexplicable.

Already rape? Like these things never happened before?
Child abuse is rife in homegrown “Christian” communities.

When child abuse in the Catholic church* was exposed, it didn’t mean this was a recent development; it meant that today we care enough to call it out.

        *only one example

When first going through the opening post, I saw this:

President, who insists on ignoring the warnings of all of his intelligence and military advisors

        and thought of Trump.

        I saw this:

In America, in spite of vigorous objections in all fifty States to the immigration of millions of Muslims from war zones such as Libya and Syria, the will of the people is over run by the so called Supreme Court

and thought, as I said, you meant courts — and thought you were referring to Trump’s executive orders on immigration being blocked.

The courts appear, actually, to be applying some consistency.
        [However, we will see how things change with Gorsuch involvement;
maybe there will no longer be checks on executive power.]

      • P.Maureen says:

I Agree. There is confirmation in repetition, and why we read the Bible over and over all our lives, yet we can never understand or know all of the Mysteries and reasonings of our Great God and Jesus Christ. Thanks for new info in your comments too

    • Jeanne T. says:

Some things need to be repeated, and we need to be reminded. The old headlines are the current headlines. Isaac and Ishmael are still fighting. We were told in advance that it would be this way until Yeshua appears again in all His majesty and glory.

The rightful King is coming back to Narnia. He is the one who is in control and allowing all of these events to converge. And some day — soon I believe — it will be always Christmas and never winter. 🙂 We must redeem the time we have left.

  3. Marleen says:

I guess it’s time for a “Please stand by” message, as it could be very disorienting to have been impressed with a silly man who now sits in our white house.

I would call attention again to the source video near the bottom of the page at this link. When one waits for the page to fully load, there will be visible four rectangular picture positions; the fourth one down is the long video that shows the Trumps pleased with sitting through the festivities — you can hear the Arabic singing and the rest of the presentation. I don’t know whether the sword dancing was before or after. Also, I’m pretty sure that was outside.

    • Jeanne T. says:

Marlene, I’m honestly not following your train of thought in your posts. Just saying’….

      • Marleen says:

Pease stand by, Jeanne, is a type of message that appears when programming is interrupted due to technical difficulties and so forth.

Regardless, I am going on to share relevant news.
Hence, I posted the link with a video to view of the Trump trip to Saudi Arabia.

      • Marleen says:

I could be mistaken, but I don’t think I’ve shared a link, here (in any of the comments for the threads), to Trump happily doing the sword dance with the House of Saud. Did you see it? (Like Bush — the “W” — dancing with them.)

It’s easy to find. I’m sure its purposely left out of some “news” sources.

    • Jeanne T. says:

“Pease stand by, Jeanne, is a type of message that appears when programming is interrupted due to technical difficulties and so forth.”

My response, Marleen, addressed several of your posts (“I’m honestly not following your train of thought in your posts.”). Surely you do not believe that I have never heard of, or understand, the term “waiting in the wings”?

I do not respond to articles and posts I haven’t read thoroughly, and when I respond, I do so as I understand them. If I haven’t read something, I don’t comment on it, and I don’t respond to everyone. I don’t express agreement (or disagreement) without first reading what has been written, unlike “common readers”, who don’t actually feel a need to read what is said before agreeing. However, Marleen, I have no way of knowing who is or isn’t a “common” reader, and neither do you.

    • P.Maureen says:

I get your ‘drift’ and realize what your saying, and besides what was said and what can clearly be seen is that President Trump had only his left hand on it, while the others had both hands firmly on it, people need to educate themselves with the Gods WORD and realize how to out smart the enemies, the west has many enemies within so two can play that game, God is leading Trump,He knows his heart as only The LORD God and Jesus Christ can, while we all know the enemies ways are not Gods Way. Discernment is required, and Jesus gives it Gracously when He knows what our minds are thinking because He KNOWS everything, everywhere, everytime and everyones thoughts, actions and intentions. It all depends on whom can catch a clue or two or three along the journey of Life. A picture may say a thousand words but a video shows what is true,if one has the ‘eyes’ to ‘see’ and the ‘ears’ to ‘hear’. Thanks for the video prompt, as I hav not seen it, being Canadian its enough to have to watch the little child we have sitting in our Capital-at least its in Ontario, and we have Dougie Ford, not an elitist thats for sure, and his daughter is a Christian Jesus-Lover(as the fakenews Medianites like to make fun of God too) woe to the workers of inequity(lies and deceit). They even tell people its a Happy Holiday when they very well know its called Merry Christmas. Haters of CHRIST Jesus I pray God has mercy on ya’ll when He Comes again to Judge the inhabitants of the ‘world’ and in all their worldly lusts and wickedness, and Believe in Jesus for He is also your God and Creator. The (respectful)fear of the LORD is the beginning of Wisdom. Amen

Interesting Trump didn’t use the phraseology he insisted must be used so as not to be politically-correct (I don’t remember exactly what FOX has said for years are the magic words, something like radical islamic… I’m sure somebody here has it memorized). Interesting also that he referred to their “Holy” things or “Holy” month/holiday/something. Additionally, he said to expel extremists from their lands. Hmm… so if they leave there, they go…

And he overtly said he wouldn’t talk about their oppressive ways (their sharia).

    MAY 19, 2017 2:31 PM
    by Ben Cohen

As US President Donald Trump departed on Friday for Saudi Arabia — the opening stop on his first foreign tour in office — a prominent Jewish human rights organization called on the desert kingdom to close down a course on Judaism at a leading Saudi university that promotes antisemitic demonization of Jews.

In a letter to Ibrahim Youssef S. Albalawi — the Saudi ambassador to UNESCO, the UN’s cultural organization — Dr. Shimon Samuels of the Simon Wiesenthal Center (SWC) noted that Trump was “about to visit your country, undoubtedly, an occasion when you would wish to present an image of supporting dialogue and tolerance between different cultures and civilizations.”

Samuels drew Albalawi’s [at]tention to the course entitled “Judaism 241,” offered by the Islamic Studies Department at Umm al-Qura University. Located in the Muslim holy city of Mecca, Umm al-Qura is one of Saudi Arabia’s top universities, with an annual budget of approximately $250 million.

    ….

Samuels, who reviewed the course materials, highlighted that the point of departure of the Judaism course is “that the Jews rely on three sources: ‘The Torah, The Talmud, The Protocols of Zion.’”

Samuels added, “The Protocols, often denoted as ‘a warrant for genocide,’ is a forgery by the Russian Tsarist regime[*] to distract public attention from dictatorship [the (Russian) Tsarist regime] and economic woes. It has been used across the Arab world to foment hatred of the State of Israel and Jews worldwide.”

Other antisemitic themes included in the course focus on ……

[* For those who don’t know, the Tsarist regime isn’t “post Christian” “post” WWII.
And, for those who don’t know, the quotation marks refer to the BR opening post here.
(I’m utilizing BR as short for Bill Randles, the person responsible for this blog site.)]

  6. Jeanne T. says:

“Already rape? Like these things never happened before?
Child abuse is rife in homegrown “Christian” communities.”

So why import more of it? Honestly, what is your point here, Marlene? Of course rape and sexual assault of children has always existed in any culture, including the West. Who is saying or even remotely implying otherwise? Good grief. Sweden is now the rape capital of Europe. Why is that? Sweden is the land of my paternal grandmother, the same Sweden that gave us “Children of the Heavenly Father” as well as many other beautiful hymns, and a tradition of choral music in many of our colleges, the same Sweden that gave us Volvo, etc., etc., etc. I attended a Swedish Baptist Church growing up and attended a Swedish Baptist College for two years. If the Swedes want their culture to go the way of the Dodo bird, then they are working overtime to ensure it.

Rape in Islam is a form of jihad and child sexual abuse is rampant in Islamic cultures, because the “perfect man” practiced it. Surely you know that, Marlene. I’m sure you do.

Afghanistan is one of the worst perpetrators of sexual abuse of young boys by men, for example. This is well known, Marlene. Ann Barnhardt did a series of lectures some time back on sexuality in Islam. American military personnel once encountered an area in Afghanistan where the fertility rate was almost zero, or so it appeared. The women could not conceive. Of course, this puzzled the doctors. What in the world could possibly account for this phenomenon?? Zero fertility?? Upon talking to both the men and the women, the military doctors quickly discovered why the women weren’t conceiving. Can you guess? Please, take a guess. Suffice it to say that the men did not understand the way things work. Now why would that be? And not only were they so unbelievably ignorant, they were actually disgusted when it was explained to them the “correct” way to ensure conception.

Now tell me why we should welcome these practices here.

    • Marleen says:

Christian preachers have said it’s okay to have “sex” (so-called) that way… as long as it’s with a woman (and to be really pious your wife).

Just no homosexuality… at all (not only intercourse).

      • Marleen says:

This isn’t only about Catholic preaching (if even at all).

      • Jeanne T. says:

“Christian preachers have said it’s okay to have “sex” (so-called) that way… as long as it’s with a woman (and to be really pious your wife).”

Oh? And are they also ignorant about how the human race successfully procreates? Is there a zero fertility rate among Christians that should concern us as a result?

  7. Marleen says:

    Jeanne,
Would you try asking Bill some questions sometime? Before registering your ditto — or maybe reading what he said at least to know what someone else might be responding to? Okay, though — to be consistent, let’s ban all Catholic priests.

    • Marleen says:

That is except the ones who can provide Trump with money.

    • Jeanne T. says:

Marlene, if/when I have a question, I will ask it, and you will be one of the first to know when I do. I promise.

      • Marleen says:

Have you looked for the video, yet, of Trump dancing with the House of Saud in their Holy Land (Trump’s words) — the “W”- like sword dance?

  8. Marleen says:

Jeanne, it’s sad you aren’t interested in real communication.

    • Marleen says:

      Jeanne said:
“[…]… as long as it’s with a woman (and to be really pious your wife).”

Oh? And are they also ignorant about how the human race successfully procreates? Is there a zero fertility rate among Christians that should concern us as a result?”

The irony of this being an argument with me at this site (BR’s)
is so ironic. Again you argue with BR and don’t know it.

      • Jeanne T. says:

Marleen, I think we can actually agree on most of your points in your latest comments below (which began with “First, Jeanne, one of Bill’s main gripes….”). I have nothing more to add to this particular aspect of the discussion, so I’m not going to comment further on it lest we continue beating a dead horse. 🙂

        Regards,
        Jeanne

    • Jeanne T. says:

      Sigh.

      • Marleen says:

First, Jeanne, one of Bill’s main gripes is that westerners aren’t having enough babies (so the logical conclusion is that such allowances along with whatever else decrease the child output too much for him or our culture). He has brought up that issue, and we read now that procreation is one of your main points at any given time.

But the pertinence in this current flow of thought is how sexually weird and how uneducated some people can be, and what is perpetuated. I think it is wrong for Christians to perpetuate the behavior you brought up (just as it is true that it is weird and wrong that there are Muslims* who do it). It is wrong because it’s wrong. Full stop.

As to population growth, it has been the case before these days that so many people are freaking out about, that homosexual men have married women (to fit in) and had children. This didn’t change the fact, nor make right, that they still participated (some of them) in the anal behavior — with their wives or with side partners or both.

*If the real problem with disgusting acts is the question of population continuance, then the concerns portrayed in the recent string of blog article postings would find some amelioration in the fact that certain people aren’t getting it right. Also, you apparently think we in the west are getting it right enough. Even with Muslim neighbors.

      • billrandles says:

Marleen I don’t know how my legitimate concerns about the decline in the West descended into a discussion of perverted sexual practices. I have more respect for my readers than to go into any detail about such things, of which we are all too aware of in this sad age. I wouldn’t characterize my concerns as “gripes either. The refuel to “be fruitful and multiply” is a manifestation of our godlessness as surely as the gender confusion and general all around descent into sexual sin the whole world is currently being inundated with. Would you mind being succinct, to the point and a bit more respectful in tone? Pas Bill

  11. Steve says:

You keep arguing from false premises, Bill. Whatever Christian influences have worked on “western civilization” to the good, western civilization is not Christian, and is not (nor ever has been) good. God’s Kingdom is the complete alternative, and only alternative, to every civilization, culture, or kingdom of men. That includes our own.

Contrasting our culture and institutions with those of Muslims in order to bash them and theirs (and not coincidentally, make us PROUD of, and ready to fight for, ours) is simply partisanship (see Galatians 5:20). It’s also a dishonest way of structuring an argument.

I’d urge you to re-think the premises on which you base your argument, as well as how you argue it, and your purposes in it. Please seek God on whether He’s saying it’s time for the Church to repel Muslims, or if He’s saying it’s time for judgement to begin in His household (I Peter 4:17).

    • billrandles says:

Thanks Steve. I have not argued that “Western Civilization ” is good, I have merely argued that whatever good there is in it, comes from the “Judea Christian ” part of it which our elites are currently repudiating. You are right that God’s Kingdom is the only, and ultimate alternative anyway, and as I have been warning my fellow westerners, and easterners and one and all, All of the Kingdoms of this earth shall soon become the Kingdoms of our LORD and of his Christ”.

This doesn’t mean that part of bringing men to repentance is getting them to see what has happened to us, and what our sinful culture has cost us.

You misread me when you think I “contrast our culture and institutions” with the Muslims “in order to bash them”. In fact any contrast is set forth to make the point, as I did in a recent article,(Two kinds of Nations) that we are more liable to judgment because we have been given much more light than those who have been raised in the Muslim world. You can not possibly know my motive so why accuse me of pride, partisanship, and dishonesty in argument? Not to say I am above any or all of these things, but I assure you I haven’t “structured” anything in these articles, I have merely written in an attempt to call us to see what we are losing and get us to consider what went wrong.

By the way, I am not calling the church to repel Muslims, I am only pointing out the treachery of our Leaders who baptize civilized societies with hordes of hostile young men from a completely different culture, but who themselves will not have to live with them.

Finally I do believe and have written , in many of the 900 plus articles on this blog, that all of these things are manifestations of Judgments, upon the house of God, upon the West and upon the wider world. All of the Biblical prophets called upon Israel to consider her ways, even in the midst and after the fact of judgment. They forced them to see what went wrong in their favored societies, even though there was no turning back, because the “rethink” is an aspect of repentance. Thanks for your input Steve

    • Jeanne T. says:

“Contrasting our culture and institutions with those of Muslims in order to bash them and theirs”

This is about Islam, not Muslims. Do you believe Islamic culture should not be critiqued or criticized? Why or why not? Western civilization has been (rightly) criticized at this site almost daily. Why should Islam be exempt?

It been never suggested here that it’s time for the Church to “repel” Muslims.

“western civilization is not Christian, and is not (nor ever has been) good.”

Would Sharia law improve things a bit, Steve? And I disagree with your assertion that nothing good has ever come out of Western civilization (and yes, that is exactly what you are asserting). Tell us, then, which culture would be an improvement to Western medicine, technology, literature, music, painting, etc. Which civilizaiton(s) do you think would further advance all of these contributions?

  12. “The Elites live in gated communities”…with armed security that we pay for.

    • Marleen says:

This is something I’ve been meaning to comment on, the “elites.” I agree that the kings and so forth aren’t only the government. In fact, I’ve been saying this for years, over a decade. It took me a while to figure it out. I was indoctrinated as a youth in conservatism. What I have seen is that what we call conservatism (st its best) is a mix of good and evil, and thus not worthy of people who would call themselves by God’s name (in fact, it is largely because God’s name gets pulled into the matter and is actually used to a large extent that it is all the more evil). I still consider myself conservative in the ways that I thought were most important when I was naive enough not to see through the sales job; I hold family in high regard, I am a person of faith, etc. But politically, these are mostly ploys — besides the fact that we are to judge ourselves and live up to what we see as right, and not spend our energy on telling those outside how to live. Sadly, what I observed most (maybe fifty-fifty at best) was people making excuses for their own “imperfection” (rationalization for worse than imperfection) — doing precisely the reverse of Bible instruction, toiling over an appearance of righteousness (most manifest by being on the “side” that talked about it a lot and were zealous over laws). And, largely [not everyone… as I said I was naive, and I’m sure I wasn’t the only one], people were on that side because that’s where the money was… which fits with the philosophy that has come to dominate the Republican Party (and its cousin, the Libertarians). It is a “health and wealth” belief system.

The elites are those with wealth (which affords power).

Whenever I’ve seen at this site the mention of elites — and the meaning not only being government — I have never seen the wealthy mentioned (other than by me). At least this wording of “gated communities” (and “armed security” — much of which “we pay” for) starts to get at it. It’s not education and educators that are bad. It’s not people who have liberal allowances for our culture (paradoxically, that is rather partly what we wish to hold onto when we are repelled by [some] Muslim cultures). And so, we have been culpable. How long did we say our neighbor should figure his his own stuff out and government should go to hell and the rich are the worthy? Privatize. Hands off. Give them (or me) more.

The philosophy was taken up exponentially.

And do we stop and think about it?

As a culture, not near enough. Instead we double and triple and quadruple down on making sure the rich swim (or, to use a colloquialism, are baptized) in money and capital. And we bring up arguments of whether we are having enough children to beat the other guys (over there somewhere, or of a different skin color, or of the unwashed or uneducated who don’t have parents capable to wash and educate them or dress them in fine clothes).

We complain about global this and that, all the while our heroes — the rich and stiff-necked — are well connected to the global network of getting richer. Some of us in the middle are doing okay or even nicely, and we may think it’s because we are worthy enough or worked hard enough or are righteous enough. But we are responsible to care that our government doesn’t work as a funnel to keep the rich richer because they supposedly deserve it. The thing is, the whole matter is complicated; it, in reality, does take education. But it also takes values that can permeate those around us besides yell ‘Merica and cut taxes on the wealthy…

… and gut schools. And privatize the military, and on and on.

This was the sin of Sodom…

      • Marleen says:

For context, because there are usually assumptions made when those (last — italicized) words are seen — so much so, so ingrained are the assumptions — that a fuller sentence still might not prevail against stubborn habit (yet, it still might):

The Last Great Apostasy…The West in Prophecy pt 7

Behold, this was the guilt of your sister Sodom: she and her daughters had pride, excess of food, and prosperous ease, but did not aid the poor and needy.

        ~ Ezekiel

        [For newcomers, Sodom isn’t a person. It’s a civilization.]

Pas Bill

    Bill,
If you look through the comments, you will see that Jeanne brought up the particular behavior just referenced — and that I responded to her. Also, if you look at your opening post, you will see that you brought up at least one other sort — and I responded to you.

Apparently it isn’t as bothersome for Catholic priests to commit atrocities or for Christian preachers in general to teach perversion, it’s the Muslims we’re worried about. I would appreciate if blame, for attitude, isn’t directed at me.

And I do appreciate that procreation is a good thing. I never said otherwise. However, I also believe that perverted and abusive acts aren’t excused or to be diminished by the act of creating offspring (and thereby looking upright) or (in the case of priests who do not procreate except by mistake) telling everyone else (who isn’t a nun, etc.) they had better do so.

Perversion is perversion whether taught or done by a Christian or Muslim or husband or priest or whomever. Yet, the point I was trying to make was more to the original subjects of rape and child abuse and secrecy (again, things YOU brought up). These things have gone on in the west without the urging of Muslims. But Jeanne thought the way to respond to that was to bring up another specific sin and failing (as if jumping to that diminishes the factual response I had posted). She creates distractions, and you say nothing to her.

[Or I don’t know, in this case, maybe it was the same specific sin as you brought up and I just don’t know about it; there is more than one kind of rape — and maybe she has read more about the story than I have. (I don’t know why you don’t provide sources.) So is it something you brought up that you are blaming me for, or it something she introduced you are blaming me for?]

Jeanne said: Afghanistan is one of the worst perpetrators of sexual abuse of young boys by men, for example.

I get what your saying. My Mother always taught us to never assume anything, so I dont, I discern it by asking Gods Holy spirit to only allow His Wisdom to flow through my mind(soul) and heart(spirit), one can be saved yet not be calling upon the Power of God-the Blood of CHRISTs Protection, The Holy Spirit -He will fill us to overflowing with His Power of His WISDOM, and not by our own understanding. His DISCERNMENT is the KEY. And because we are flesh(body) so many are offended because they lack this Wisdom that is so readily available. We must KNOW the WORD of GOD and Jesus Christ, reading is so ‘yesterday’ to the blind and deaf(not the literal blind and deaf but by Gods standards). God tells us to speak to them, and if they do not comprehend, walk away just like Paul did, they’re on their own. Sometimes we preach to the choir and other times we’re talking to a ‘brick wall’. (a big reason I do not like to text(or type), as the context is not there and things can get outta hand very quickly, I prefer the telephone to hear and be heard so as not to be misconstrued. but to each their own, in love and respect always.
