Rodney Howard Browne, The Heretic Who Laid hands On Trump…

I was heartened the other day when I read that the President of the United States took time out of his busy schedule to allow an “Evangelical Minister” to lay hands on Him and pray. He needs prayer, and the support of the evangelical church, as much as possible.

But then my joy turned to angst when I read further, that the “evangelical minister” who prayed for Trump, was in fact a spiritually dangerous counterfeit, a purveyor of false doctrine and gnostic, experience based spirituality named Rodney Howard Browne.

I shouldn’t have been surprised because one of the President’s closest Spiritual advisor, is  a televangelist and Word of Faith heresy  proponent Paula White who is of the same heretical ilk as Rodney Howard Browne.

In short Rodney Howard Browne is the Father of the so called “Laughing Revival” of mysticism and Spiritual Drunkenness which led directly to the disastrously destructive “Toronto Blessing” which spread through Pentecostal, Charismatic and Even evangelical churches in the late 1990’s spreading heresy, false doctrine, mystical experience, deception and delusion throughout the world.

Howard Browne is famous for calling himself the “Holy Ghost Bartender” and inducing people into states of Spiritual Drunkenness, and has destroyed much of what was left of the sense of the true Fear of God in many, many Pentecostal, Charismatic churches. I consider him a minister of Judgment and part of the Strong, God sent Delusion.

In the interest of discernment and for the sake of real prayer by real Christians, I am excerpting a chapter of my 1995 book, WEIGHED AND FOUND WANTING;PUTTING THE TORNOTO BLESSING IN CONTEXT, to let you know just who this man is.

Who Is Rodney Howard Browne?

He was born into a Pentecostal home, an atmosphere that was bathed in prayer. By his own testimony, he was saved at the age of five and baptized in the Holy Spirit at age eight. Both at home and in the Pentecostal church he attended, he testifies of

“continually [seeing] supernatural manifestations.”2
His own “baptism of fire” occurred in 1979, while he was still a teenager. Hereis how he tells it.

I knew that there was more, much more…In July of 1979, I cried out to God in sheer desperation. I wanted Him to manifest Himself to me and in me. I was hungry…As I prayed that day, I told the Lord, “Either you come down here and touch me, or I am going to come up there and touch you.” I was desperate. I must have called out to God for about 20 minutes that day. Suddenly, the fire of God fell on me. It started on my head and went right down to my feet. His power burned in my body and stayed like that for three whole days…I was really praying, “Lord, I am too young to die.” In the fourth day, I am not praying, “O Lord send your glory,” I am praying, “Please lift it off me so that I can bear it.” I was plugged into heaven’s electric light supply…my desire has been to go and plug other people in. My whole body was on fire…Out of my belly began to flow a river of living water. I began to laugh uncontrollably and then I began to weep and then speak with tongues. I was so intoxicated on the wine of the Holy Ghost that I was beside myself…Because of that encounter with the Lord, my life was radically changed from that day on.3

Rodney Howard Browne proceeds in the book to relate changes in his ministry after that anointing with fire, while preaching in a Methodist church. I’ll let him tell it in his own humorous way.

We were preaching in a Methodist church. I was back in the vestibule—which is a holy name for a plain old office—preparing for service. One of the young ladies came into the office and asked me to pray for her because she was in terrible pain…I got my hand halfway to her head, almost like a gunslinger would draw a gun out of a holster, and point it at his opponent. Suddenly, unexpectedly, it felt like my finger tips came off. I felt a full volume of anointing flow out of my hand. The only way I can explain it is to liken it to a fireman holding a fire hose with a full volume of water flowing out of it. The anointing went right into her. It looked like someone had hit her in the head with an invisible baseball bat and she fell to the floor…4

On and on it goes.

Notice the sensuality of the testimony, though. The fire of God courses through his body, it shoots out of his fingers, like a gun, she gets hit by an invisible bat! The concept behind the word sensual is not always referring to “sexual.” Sensual refers to the things pertaining to the five physical senses. Rodney Howard Browne has a very sensual ministry. The promise is held out that you are going to be touched by God, you’re going to feel God, you’ll even get drunk on the new wine! You’ll laugh, stagger, get stuck to the floor, and generally have an all out good time! It’s “fun” going to these meetings!

Back to Who is Rodney Howard Browne?

In 1987, Rodney Howard Browne left his native South Africa to come to the

United States, on a “word from God.” By that time, he had already pioneered a church, pastored for a time and been on the pastoral staff of Ray McCauley’s Rhema Bible Church in Johannesburg. Upon arriving in America, he commenced an itinerant ministry.

It was at a series of meetings in Albany, New York in 1989 that the unusual manifestations had begun to take place. It began to occur at a time when both he and his wife were hungry for God to move. As he was preaching at a morning meeting, he said a cloud filled the room, visible to others, but not to him. He could feel it, though. People began falling out of their seats as he preached.

While I was preaching, the power of God began to fall. Many people began to fall out of their seats. It looked like someone was shooting them and in some places whole rows at a time would go down. They were laughing and crying and falling all over the place and looked like drunken people.5

Rodney Howard Browne became an internationally prominent revivalist after a Spring, 1993 meeting at an Assembly of God church in Lakeland, Florida, the Carpenter’s Home Church. He was scheduled for one week, but the meeting lasted four! People who heard about it flew in from as far away as Africa, Great Britain and Argentina. What made the difference in this revival meeting? According to Charisma Magazine,

The difference was the laughter. No matter what Howard Browne did or said, hundreds who attended the daily sessions always ended up on the sanctuary floor in helpless laughter. When the services were broadcast on radio, more curious seekers showed up to join the fun.6

In Conclusion

I suppose I could go on and on, “building a case,” about my reservations of the ministry of Rodney Howard Browne, but why? After all of the above, if you don’t have serious problems, you are also a victim of the continuous conditioning that has taken place. Keep in mind that it was a transference of his “anointing” into Randy Clark who brought “it” to Toronto, that “birthed” the Toronto Blessing. I hope that I have brought some clarity to the issue. This is not about personality, it’s about truth. Can you see Jesus or the apostles even remotely promoting anything like this? I think not.

Is Rodney Howard Browne correct when he dismisses his critics by saying things like,

Now some would say, “I don’t believe it,” that’s fine, those people that don’t want to believe it, they probably wouldn’t believe anything. They probably wouldn’t believe the Bible…16

On the contrary, I don’t buy this, and I believe in the Bible! I also believe in the present activity of the Holy Spirit. I consider myself to be spirit filled and have seen many “signs, wonders, and gifts of the Holy Ghost” over the years in my ministry as well as in many other fellow ministers. We have witnessed the casting out of devils, healing of the sick, and powerful life transformations, all to confirm the preaching of the gospel! So don’t dismiss me as an unbelieving, religious dead head!

I want to close this chapter by encouraging you to hold fast to that which is good. We know that certain men have crept in unawares, but that doesn’t mean that we have to throw out the validity of supernatural workings of God. The Pentecostal experience is needed now more than ever, God’s people do need a fresh baptism in the Holy Ghost, to witness afresh to this sin-sick generation.

This is what happened at r church when r leadership came back from the so called Toronto Blessing
    I call it a curse
R church in time was destroyed and so were many lives, b/c that is what a church is
    People, not buildings.

God’s word is true and it is what I cling to
    Not Holy Ghost revival.
I believe at the beginning we were all sincere but at the end of it there had been a murder, sexual immorality, divorces,
The whole thing was a gong show.

I have come back to the LORD b/c of HIs mercy but my dtrs. r lost
The screaming, the yelling, the Holy Ghost craziness
The whole desire to bend God to your will instead of bending to God’s will.

Saying your will be done Christ JESUS, not mine.
I have learned to say that and mean it.
To fear the LORD in reverence is a good thing.

I noticed Paula White at the inauguration of the President and I wondered then.

I live in Canada and I so appreciated your last blog.

I still believe in the moving of the precious Holy Spirit but again His leading not mine.
To trust and obey b/c there is no other way to be happy in JESUS but to trust and obey

So many tears and so many heartaches.

so thankful for Pastor Mike Warren’s online church.
His Wednesday nite bible study as well.
I don’t think we ever opened the bible at the time in my walk except to seek an experience

I like learning the word, that God is faithful, true, merciful, cannot lie, and does not suffer fools gladly.

    In Christ

  2. Hope says:

Reblogged this on 1 Way 2 Yahweh and commented:
Thank you, Pastor Bill. I had hoped you would comment on this subject. Donald Trump truly does not discern the wolves that surround him.

  3. Lovey says:

Indeed we walk by faith ….no signs and wonders….signs and such were to authenticate the ministry of the apostles and then Paul who was called by Jews Christ to be the apostle to the Gentiles ….His gospel was revealed to him of the mystery hid in God since before the beginning of the world

It is distinctly separate from the gospel of the kingdom promised to Abraham and his seed where they will one day have an earthly kingdom with Jesus Christ as their King

The church of this dispensation of Grace is destine to live eternity in the heavenly kingdom ….

The Jews seek after signs and the signs faded from their usefulness as the dispensati N of the mystery …the age of Grace was established as Paul’s ministry proceeded to
Bring the gospel of the mystery of the one Body of Christ neither Jew nor gentile …by faith alone ….in Christ’s finished work

Believers are saved unto study and rightly divide the Word of God and to make all men see what is the mystery of the fellowship of the Gospel revealed to Paul and to all who will receive his gospel different than that which was to Israel

The signs and wonders movement is a deceiption offered to those who seek after what is not of God but an accommodation by the god of this age ..the prince of the power of the age….the father of lies…the devil

There is a way that SEEMETH rightly ti a man but the way therein is death

    It is vanity

  4. Lovey says:

Correction…. not “Jews Christ”!!!! It was supposed to be “Jesus Christ “….auto correct or fat thumbs ??!!!

  5. Rosie Higgs says:

We saw the devastating fall out after TB hit one of the churches we were in, marriages broken, minds affected, depression, demonic manifestations. Self control is a fruit of the Holy Spirit and the lack of that with the uncontrollable laughter was shocking. As Pastor Bill says, to be charged with not believing the Bible because we don’t go along with those things is insulting to say the least. I don’t pretend to know all the Bible but unlike many I do read it every day and pray for the Holy Spirit to lead me into all truth and I pray that He does to the so many who are deceived by these charlatans and that they will come to their senses and come out of those churches. God bless, Pastor Bill and your church too. Rosie HIggs

  6. Spiritual fornication. I made a comment on my FB page with an article attached about this disturbing event. I got a comment, well at least he is accepting christians into his office to pray for him, Unfortunately Trump unwittingly is giving some of the worst examples of “christianity” a certificate of validation.

  7. fran mcgibbon says:

    Thank you, Pastor Randles

  8. Jody says:

You are right on the money, Pastor. Agree 100%. Keep up the good work.

  9. Keith Howard-Browne says:

Goodness gracious me! A Heretic, eh? As a Howard-Browne (please note correct spelling) family member, I am deeply offended that you attach such a label to someone who I actually know, and by association an entire family of pastors who have ministered the Word of God faithfully to the members of their congregations since the early 1900’s.
You Sir, clearly do not know the heart of this man. If you did, you would not engage in the divisiveness you have behind the curtain of ‘discernment’.
I don’t know you, Pastor Randles nor have I heard you minister, and I make my comment purely on your words in this article. Examine your heart Sir, and consider that maybe – just maybe – you have rushed to judgement.
God bless you and guide you in your continued ministry.

    Keith Howard-Browne

    • billrandles says:

Kieth, thanks for writing me,I respect the fact that you challenge my assertion that your brother Rodney Howard-Browne is a heretic. rather than expect anyone to merely take my word for it,I will post an article explaining why I believe your brother is a real heretic and has done much damage to the true Church.

      • Keith Howard-Browne says:

Not to be nit-picky, but he is not my brother. A 2nd cousin actually.
While I understand how easy it is to dismiss someone’s comments simply because they come from a family member, those commenting in this blog have no clue what conversations have taken place withing the Howard-Browne family about the subject. I point you back to your comments and judgments.
Pastor Bill – I understand that you seek the truth and want to expose any heretical teaching for what it is, as do I. I simply point out that that the broad-brushing / blanket statements you have made (including whether or not he (Rodney) is a Christian) about a man whose heart you do not know is simply wrong.

    • Darlene says:

Thank you for speaking up for this man. I believe his experiences are totally genuine. The Lord works in mysterious ways. He said they are planning to try to assassinate Trump. We all need to pray diligently that God will stop those evil plans.

    • Word of Faith doctrine is heresy, and anyone who preaches it is a heretic. If the shoe fits… wear it. Howard-Browne is a stain on Pentecostalism.

      • S K D says:

If Word of Faith doctrine is is heresy, then you should threw your Bible in the trash.
God said and what he said became a reality.
Speaking from heart according to the Word of God is a basic. If you don’t believe the Word that shows this truth you don’t even have eternal life, and you are still under the power of Sin…
So many scriptures in the Bible contradict your statement and Jesus said : “the scripture cannot be broken”…

      • I’m sorry… can you actually give Scripture to defend your reply? If you believe in a “name and claim it” doctrine, then please tell me what Scripture you use to defend that doctrine.

      • S K D says:

        Thanks for asking.

        Sorry, for the late answer.

In fact the spiritual principle in which the speaking is involved on the divine end human side of exercising faith is fundamental. You can find so much revelation and teaching concerning this aspect in the Word that this forum is not the right place to share them all. As I read the Bible, as I’m getting more and more mature in Christ since my conversion (1989), the more I discover clues and evidence of this truth.

Let me share just a few.

In Mark11:12-14, 20-26, Jesus clearly teaches us about the correlation between speaking and God’s supernatural intervention.
The full and true meaning of the famous “Have faith in God” in this context is “have the type of faith God have”. Why ? Jesus here focuses on the part of man ; he says us to speak with faith (like God do) having the conviction that what we say will happen.
It’s not only about to speak out one time with faith to see things happen according to God’s will, but also about to proclame continously the world of God despite the state of things and situations in the natural world.

In Rom10:8-9, Paul (according to Proverbs18:21, Matthew12:37, 2Cor4:13 – which is a quote of Psalm116:10 – ) exposes this spiritual law concerning salvation : “The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”

The Lord gave Abram and Saraï new names by which to call each other. As a result, in a 4 month period, these two elderly were renewed in their body, and at the age of 100, Sarah was so beautiful and attractive, that Abimelech king of Gerar sent, and took Sarah to made her his wife. God’s intervention, failed this project for the promise to be fulfilled. After Sarah died, Abraham get maried again, and became the father of at least 5 children.

David facing Goliath, projected his victory through his mouth and through acting on the bases of what he said.

“The woman who was diseased with an issue of blood” did so.

Two stories tell us about this, through famous confessions made by two non jew characters :

“And when Jesus was entered into Capernaum, there came unto him a centurion, beseeching him, And saying, Lord, my servant lieth at home sick of the palsy, grievously tormented. And Jesus saith unto him, I will come and heal him. The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed. For I am a man under authority, having soldiers under me: and I say to this man, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it. When Jesus heard it, he marvelled, and said to them that followed, Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel. And I say unto you, That many shall come from the east and west, and shall sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven. But the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. And Jesus said unto the centurion, Go thy way; and as thou hast believed, so be it done unto thee. And his servant was healed in the selfsame hour.”

“And from thence he arose, and went into the borders of Tyre and Sidon, and entered into an house, and would have no man know it: but he could not be hid. For a certain woman, whose young daughter had an unclean spirit, heard of him, and came and fell at his feet: The woman was a Greek, a Syrophenician by nation; and she besought him that he would cast forth the devil out of her daughter. But Jesus said unto her, Let the children first be filled: for it is not meet to take the children’s bread, and to cast it unto the dogs. And she answered and said unto him, Yes, Lord: yet the dogs under the table eat of the children’s crumbs. And he said unto her, For this saying go thy way; the devil is gone out of thy daughter. And when she was come to her house, she found the devil gone out, and her daughter laid upon the bed.”

In these stories, the focus is again on the part of man. The faith and the speaking of that faith. In fact, the divine intervention, here again, was initialized on the human side…

There much of examples in the Scripture. You should go after these by yourself, and then, you should decide if you are convinced or not about this 🙂

        Blessings !

      • Delia Geary says:

        I applaud you!!

    • Patti Longworth says:

Absolutely a man after God’s heart like David is a Treasure to our Lord and Savior Jesus and to those of us who love the truth of those willing to preach it like Jesus does, and we must never forget how do you just want into the temple very upset with th and we must never forget how he went into the temple very upset with the sellers and how he drove them all out, he cleaned the temple and brother Rodney Brown is a true worshipper and warrior for Jesus Christ! Jesus did not tiptoe around people! He spoke out loud against sin. He confronted evil! We must do the same! We must be loud for Jesus Christ and laugh at the devil every day! Like Rodney Howard Brown says: Jesus Christ is coming back for True Saints fighting the Good Fight, not pansies confused of their ID and wishy washy double minded carnal people. Paraphrasing by me. Thank you Brother Rodney Howard Brown and your family for serving and standing strong for our amazing awesome Jesus Christ, Holy Ghost, Father God. I keep you covered in Power Full Prayers with Papa. Stay the Course, Stand the Plum Line, ALL Heaven is cheering!!!

    • UnworthyToLooseHisSandals says:

The pastor does not need to know Rodney’s heart.

The LORD Jesus Christ said “by your fruits you will know them.” He also said, “out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks” and “a tree is recognized by its fruit”.

With over 20 years of this apostate foolishness to look back on now, the fruits are obvious unless you are blind.

      • S K D says:

To say “by your fruits you will know them.” , “out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks” and “a tree is recognized by its fruit” is only going to spiritual principles.

        What fruits ?

        What words ?

  10. Lovey says:

Hard to be biblically sound when loyalty to a personality obscures right division of the scriptures ….at some point loyalty becomes a stronghold ,blinding the eyes and stopping the ears

    Gods love exposes error

Human affections hinder the receiving of it

  11. billrandles says:

Kieth, doesn’t what Rodney has said in public and has has done as well, bear any weight with you? “Holy Ghost Bartender”??? That in itself doesn’t bother you? Ministering Spiritual Drunkenness and putting pastors in trances? I don’t know Rodney’s heart and don’t have to know it, I can’t know it, only God truly knows it. But as a Pastor I have to identify those who distort and deviate from the faith “once and for all delivered to the Saints” , all I have to go by is Words and Deeds. You will know them by their fruits. Look at the broken churches, ruined lives and destroyed testimony in the way of the “Laughing revival”, the Toronto Blessing that followed and the Pensacola “revival”, all of which came as a result(partially) of your cousin’s ‘ministry’.

    • A few years I did a lot of research on these fake preachers. I was dumbfounded when I would visit their websites. I still have numerous files on all my research.. You are so right Bill. Seeing all these false prophets and craziness in churches was like opening a flood gate and the signs of the last days rushing through. Sad for the ones who weren’t taught the Bible as a child and are being deceived. There are also numerous others and the Toronto Blessing was one of the worst.

  12. Lovey says:

I believe right doctrine is of the greatest importance that we have been given the command to study and rightly divide the scriptures .
Would you mind taking a listen to what is offered by these sites and let me know what you think as far as biblical accuracy?

    And another …

Being able to consider the biblical standing of such things as ministries are putting forth depends upon reading and rightly dividing the Word of Truth

It’s good to remain willing to pursue understanding from personal study as “all scripture is given by inspiration of God and is profitable for doctrine ..reproofs and correction which is instruction in righteousness that a man of God may be throughly furnished u to all good works 2 Tim 3:16-17

Selective reading according to pretext is a mishandling of the Word that leads away from what the scriptures were provided foenhs to know and learn

Anyone who has doubts about what is true has the scriptures to study and seek to learn but it must be received with MEEKNESS not to men but toward God ….because it is the engraphed word that saves the soul but it must be rightly divided so we don’t try to apply what was written to another audience of another time and dispensation .

God doesn’t change but how He instructs people of a distinction He has made does change of what we see in how He commanded various people throughout the records of scripture

The confusion caused in how to tell what is the instruction for the Body of Christ ones from wrongly dividing to whom and what Gods instructions are to these distinctions we can identify in the scriptures

Some of these wrong teachings have come from sincere people who have been taught by others who may or may not have deliberately taught error being deceived themselves

We who care about learning the truth from the Bible need to be fully pursuaded by the study of scripture rightly divided else these issues become hinderances to our own walk as well as anyone we hope to encourage to trust in the Lord and His finished work.

2 Tim 2:15 is not a suggestion but a serious exhortation for us today …now more than ever as many who claim truth may be sincere but sincerely in error

  13. Mechelle says:

I’m so sorry but you are deceived!

  14. Dee says:

Thank you, Bill for pointing out what some people do not want to admit.

Q: WHY are we reprimanded for choosing to obey our Lord in using God-given discernment???

    JESUS commands His followers:
“WATCH OUT for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. BY THEIR FRUIT you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thorn bushes, or figs from thistles? Likewise, every good tree bears good fruit, but A BAD TREE BEARS BAD FRUIT. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Thus, BY THEIR FRUIT you WILL RECOGNIZE them.”
    Matthew 7:15-20

May the LORD continue to grant His wisdom and discernment for those with ‘eyes to see and ears to hear’… “The fear of the LORD is to hate evil.”

Those who choose to be deceived will be.

  15. Lovey says:

Kindly supply chapter and verses please to support your statement Mechelle

  16. Donald van der Merwe says:

Hello I am Donald and live in South Africa. I would like to add to the above discussion if I may…

One does not have to meet a person to understand what is in their heart. There are many preachers who have died in the Lord whose teachings we still use and respect to this day. I have never met them but what came out of their hearts shows what was in their heart and what they believed. Mark 7:20 says it all and it was Jesus speaking and it is still Him speaking today: It is not what a man eats but what a man believes that proceeds out of him and defiles him. Mark 7:14-23 emphasis on verse 7 Mar 7:20  And he said, That which cometh out of the man, that defileth the man.  This is also what Jesus was warning His disciples of in Matthew 16:1-19. Verse 19 declares that false teachings given by false teachers will bind people to this earth nullifying the true Gospel that draws people to God and eternal life through the finished work of Jesus Christ His Son. We cannot judge according to our own opinion we can only judge by what has been revealed by God from His Word and what is written therein. I was in the army and I had to abide by the military disciplinary code. If I contravened that disciplinary code I faced a court martial. I am not tried according to a persons opinion but by military doctrine out of which comes all the commands and instructions I need to be a soldier.

We did not know God and we were not even looking for Him but His Word revealed to us by faithful preachers shows us what He believes and wants us to believe. No one can come to Jesus Christ unless the Father draws him/her and how does He do that… through the preaching of the Word which judges the heart Heb 4:12. Rom 10:14  How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? All scripture is God breathed and is made known to us by obedient ministers of His Word. We are to believe God who, by His Holy Spirit, is working through the preacher. 1 Cor 2:11 Rom 4:3  For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness.  Heb 3:7. Wherefore (as the Holy Ghost saith, To day if ye will hear his voice, Heb 3:8  Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the wilderness: Joh 16:13  Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.  Joh 16:14  He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you. Mat 28:19  Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Eph 4:5  One Lord, one faith, one baptism, Eph 4:6  One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all. (emphasis mine).

All genuine ministers of Gods Word have His authority to preach the Word and will be held accountable for every idle word said in His name. Not only that the minister will have to give an account as to every sheep under his care. The sheep are never ever his they are the Lords and that minister has been entrusted with caring for them. If any go missing then it is expected of him to go and find that one that has gone astray and bring him/her back. If not he will have to give an account. False teachers of the Word of God will also give an account for every word they have spoken in Jesus’ name because by their false teachings they have brought the name of Jesus Christ into disrepute and nullify the Gospel that would save a person from hell and ultimately the lake of fire.

I absolutely love it when a pastor such as Bill Randles acts in accordance with what the Word of God says and protects the sheep. It shows his love for me. I do not believe a true minister of the Gospel, who is being lead by the Spirit of God, will dare to come with his own opinion without declaring that what he is saying is of his own opinion. What is given from heaven for our edification and protection must be given entirely as it was given without any changes or compromises (1 Cor 4:1-6). Therefore I say our Chief Shepherd, who is Jesus Christ together with the Apostles and prophets did not carry out any such false signs or teachings. A true minister does as Jesus did ….. only what they see their Father in heaven doing … Judge everything by the Word of God and the true example given to us in Jesus Christ who was an exact representation of the Father in heaven. I have never seen anywhere in scripture where God tolerated blasphemy, Also consider He will not hold guiltless he who takes His name in vain … Exo_20:7  Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.

Always measure the heart of a person by the divine plumbline (the Word of God) Amos 7:7. What people say and do show what is going on in their heart.

  17. Lovey says:

Indeed it is the Word of God which is the divider of our thoughts and intentions

The Word of God also divides itself according to hteee distinctives as well….”time past”…”but now” And the “ages to come ”

Three people groups …Israel….whose Messiah was and will be Jesus…”But now” The church of the mystery revealed to a Paul the Apostle called by the risen Jesus Christ to preach the gospel hid in God before the world began which is the Body of Christ made up if neither Jew nor Gentile as His death on the cross , burial and resurrection has provided full payment for whomsoever believes His finished work has saved us from any judgemtne and condemnation for sin. And the third group identified saved under the program of the Israelites that they would be believing Jesus Christ is their Messiah ans found in the old testament and are of those saved after the age of Grace of the dispensation of the mystery revealed to Paul…whose instructions are provided in the baboons of Hebrews through Revelation as well as in the Gospels and Old Testament books speaking of the time of Jacob’s Trouble where those who believe in jeiss as their Messiah will have to live under the resumed program which was to Israel

These distinctions have been clouded by way of Christians believing what is addressed to Israel of time past somehow still is addressed to the Body of Christ in this time of “but now” as they also tremble under the instructions proved for those who believe after the conclusion of the Grace administration recorded in Pauls Epistles given to Him for the. Key of Christ to walk in

These distinctions have been lost to many of the Christian church by way of the Higher criticism “techniques” of scholarship which has diminished the Word of God through many fleshly approaches to the God breathed Word

It has caused many to fall for signs and wonders , confusion about whether we are safe dby faith alone in Jesus finished work alone or must “endure to the end” which instruction was to those who believe after the departure of the church of the Body upon the fulfillment of the time of the Gentiles and the resuming of the program to Israel mean sof salvation still by faith but without the INDWELLING of the Holy Spirit thus they must endure to the end

The believer of His Grace Administration is saved by faith alone and not by sight which asserts the written inspired Word of God is the means by which we hear and receive and believe and are sealed …saved unto the good works of God finished as we then are told to study and rightly divided the Word as it is the “word of reconciliation ” provided for us to speak as it is the faithful word able to save men’s souls with the directions given to the Body of Christ as we have the ministry of received reconciliation

It is the Word of God heard rightly divided that once heard and believed saves the souls of those who recognize their need for a Saviour

  18. Lovey says:

Sorry about the many typos!….such tiny font on my phone and fat thumbs missing …too many errors to correct ☹️

On important distinction was the three identities found in scripture

Before Christ came there was the nation created by God named “Israel ” which was intended to become the nation which would function as priests to proclaim the word to the nations (Gentiles) under the ruler ship of their king and Messiah.

When they rebelled and rejected God the Father in the OT….and rejected God the Son in the four gospels when Jesus came to Israel and fulfilled all of their prophesies that would identify they Messiah and they further rejected Jesus as their Messiah when they killed Stephen thus rejecting the Holy Spirit which indicted them through his bold speech TO ISRAEL…..then the Lord whose “gifts and callings are without repentance ”
Turned to fulfill His plans to save the whole world through His gospel had the mystery of the period we are now in ….Israel fell from the ministry first offered to them to become a nation of priests …after the church of the BODY OF CHRIST is filled …the time of the Gentiles ….the “but now” period of time we live in now made of all who are saved …

Israel was called to preach in an EARTHLY KINGDOM…. it fell upon not receiving the Messiah at His FIRST coming and now they seek Him to come according to their wanting only a conqueroring KING which for those who recognized their Messiah when He came the FIRST time but as the suffering servant ….

Gentiles had no covenant with God and no knowledge of the prophesies and any who did want a relationship with the Lord had to go through the system God provided to Israel and and become a Jew by submitting to their rules….water baptism (as priests would do to prepare to serve in the temple ….this in the gospels they got water baptized as all Jews would be priests in the earthly kingdom when their Messiah came to rule and reign on the earthly kingdom promised to Abraham and David)

God will keep His promises “but now” he has made a difference program wherein all may become saved and sealed into the Body of Christ

This is different than the program given to Israel

Now “whomsoever believeth” in Jesus Christ’s finished work on the cross and His resurrection when our salvation was completely finished is then Saved!

The confusion caused by reading all scripture as if it is addressed to everyone the same denies the distinctions God has set forth for us to learn and know

That requires what He has said for us to do …2 Tim 2:15….study to show yourself approved unto God a workman RIGHTLY DIVDING the word of truth

The words “rightly dividing ” indicate we could “wrongly divide” what has been written TO us and many have been taught that all scripture is written TO all people

God made distinctions in scripture which we do well to investigate as when we try to live by what is addressed to Israel those of the Body of Christ under this Grace Administration begin to have confusion

The devil loves to cause confusion…..God is not the author of confusion and one reason we do see is that where confusion is is strife and every evil work

Seeing how many believers leave the study of the Word to some “expert” there is plenty of the “lack of knowledge ” of scripture rightly divided which the Lord has said is destructive to those who claim His name

Becoming a student of how the Word speaks by way of right division is a huge key to understanding and applying what the Lord has provided for our learning and DOCTRINE…reproof and CORRECTION
That we would walk according to truth and speak what is beneficial to our need for right doctrine addressed to us today

I’m sorry for you Lovey, you’ve fallen for what I think is a heresy called “Hyperdispensationalism.”. Please do yourself a big favor and watch Jacob Prasch’s teaching regarding Dr. Randy White on YouTube. I am very familiar with what the hyperdispensationalists teach and they are experts at twisting scripture. I came close to getting pulled into those teachings but thank God the Holy Spirit showed me that their explanation of rightly dividing the Word of God is downright heretical, as are the teachings that follow that line of thinking. I implore you to watch Jacob’s comments about it on YouTube and ask for guidance from the Holy Spirit.

    Hi Bill
Greetings from the UK. Disapointing to see this laying on of Hands from people that have brought the Gosple into disrepute..Some of those involed, would not havet been happy with what happen in the White house.
But once Paula White had been invited to pray at the ,inauguration of Donald J Trump, these lastest developments come as no surprise.
By the grace of God I have been aware of the distortion of the true Gosple of Jesus Christ our Lord for years. One of the clear signs was when the RC where endose by these preachers,I speak as ex RC. Some effort have been made, to get the Truth out to RC about the Gosple of our Lord and saviour Jesus Christ.
Richard Bennett who is Ex RC Priest’S and can be found at http://www.BereanBeacon It may help if you have question about why I have said what I have . May the Holy Spirit guide you to the Truth. I am also sure Bill Randles would happy to help also.
Well Bill it look like you have enterd another Battle to stand for the truth of the Gosple. I pray that God protection you and your family. It a great responsibility to speak out about error in the church. God bless you, that you have not wavered in that responsibility. .

    Best Regards

Pastor Randles, we have to continue to pray for President Trump. I am still excited about him giving God the glory but praying with a few questionable people. I pray that Trump will see them for what they are. But at least we have a decent President who acknowledge God.

Thanks Bill, It is so important to speak truth, there are soooooooo many who have placed themselves in a position to have great influence over people, who have no idea what the word of God says or demands of His true followers. There are many scriptures one can refer to, but I pray that those who don’t know, will take this opportunity to get into the Word of God and have an encounter with the only true living God.

  25. ateafan says:

Mr Randle, I don’t know you either … Some years ago now I began to research the whole Charismatic Movement and its manifestations. Somehow this lead to research into hypnosis – especially covert hypnosis. You can google both and there are a few books written on the subject. This post would be very long if I went into it all. After watching the short video on your post I noticed these things: First while everyone in the audience is out of control Mr Browne remains wholly in control and emotionless. Does this not strike you as odd? He uses his eyes and hands exactly how a hypnotist is trained to use also. Hypnotists use the subjects (in this case a whole room of people) emotions to prime them for what is called in the industry, induction. There are other methods too – such as sudden shouting or suddenly speaking very softly or slowly or quickly. A lot of it hinges on the way the hypnotist uses language. In charismatic services the music and preaching is used to stir peoples emotions. In an emotional state we become more suggestible. This is why the ‘manifestations’ in a charismatic service don’t just happen at the beginning of a service but later on toward the end of a service. When a person is in a trance state (as hypnotists call it) they are relaxed as in the video they fall over and lie on the floor apparently in a state of peace. People under hypnosis also report feeling clear of mind – or hyper alert. So while they are ‘at peace’ they are fully aware of their surroundings – as many people who have been ‘slain in the spirit’ (as charismatics like to call it) report. The person who is now in a hypnotic trance becomes hyper alert to the voice of the hypnotist and to his suggestions. Hypnotists implant suggestions in the subjects mind – this can be done while they are speaking and can seem inane at the time. After watching the video I believe Mr Brown uses the name ‘Jesus’ to trigger the manifestations. He speaks Jesus’ name violently. Christians believe the name of Jesus has power so this may explain why it can be used in this way by people like Mr Browne. I realise there is also demonic activity associated. Notice that some are not affected. There can be many reasons for this – it depends how suggestible you are. Critical thinking saves a person from this sort of manifestation but defences are lowered at these kind of services. According to the Bible mysticism leads to madness. Many charismatic people I knew suffer from depression and other mental illnesses now. They become very intense, anxious, hyperactive, feel isolated, misunderstoo. They can be illogical, exceptionally legalistic and superstitious, their ‘discernment’ being a form of projection, (of whatever is on their own mind and hearts) and they are swift and harsh judges of other Christians. They seldom ask questions. Many seem to lose the ability to communicate effectively with others and they become performance based and are often fearful and needy.
Without seeing more of the service I can not say anymore about the methods this man uses to deceive gullible, vulnerable and desperate people. The biggest clue is his control. He is in control not the Holy Spirit. I have no doubt. The psychotherapy industry uses the same techniques as hypnotists by the way and has its roots in three men, Freud, Jung and Milton Erikson who all used hypnosis.

    • billrandles says:

thanks for your input, I strongly agree with what you are saying. Twenty years ago a fellow minister and friend of mine presented an acquantance of his, with several hours of RHB videos. That acquantance happened to be a professional stage hypnotist. When he asked this man what he thought of RHB, (the man was obviously not born again) he said,”he is reprehensible!”
My friend asked why and the other man said,”hypnotist have an established code of conduct and set of ethics, RHB is doing what we do but broke three cardinal rules! first of all, we never put anyone into a trance without telling them, secondly we never put anyone into a trance without taking them back out of one,and thirdly, we never, ever put children into trance,we consider all three of these practices as dangerous, but he violated them all!

      • ateafan says:

Thanks for your reply Mr Randle. Yes dangerous and spiritual abuse when in a Christian context at least. The secular hypnotist is not spiritually abusing anyone because they are not claiming the effect of hypnotherapy/ hypnosis is a ‘touch from the Holy Spirit’ and are relatively open about what they are doing. Blasphemy of the Holy Spirit is not forgiveable and that is what these men and women are doing – blasphemy of the Holy Spirit. I feel no compassion for them at all & long for the day they exposed once and for all to see. I am thankful my own children are safe from these men and women – that they believed me when I told them of a character in our part of the world who was presenting himself as a cult like figure with these ‘gifts’.

  27. S K D says:

The problem is not on the side of God but always on Man’s. The problem is the reference point that Man takes to judge somebody or something.
It should be useful for everyone to consider that important figures of christianity before, after and during the Reformation, where (on specific points) heretics.
The first christians were also and at least but not last, the Messiah Himself was regarded as an heretic…
What’s is important is the point of view of God…

Before judging someone on the basis of theological concepts belonging to tradition(s) whatever tradition it is, the least thing (because it turns often out sooner or later a matter of salvation) is to take the Scripture and explore what picture it draws about a subject, concretely on divine manifestations.

Knowing that Satan is always copy God (not the inverse), this is often not a matter of manifestations as forms but a matter of spiritual discernment between two identical manifestations.

God is He laughting ? Rejoicing ?

What are the biblical manifestations of the presence of God on Earth among His People in the Past?

Letting the Scripture answer to such questions are landmarks for us. Everything else has no importance.

As a spirit-filled Christian, who is also a retired TV News anchor/reporter…I call into accountability those “Christian Broadcasters” who choose (purely for monetary gain), to carry this false doctrine…

At the top of the list is CTN who has chosen to
use Rodney Howard Browne as their primary cash-cow….

I further call into account those credible ministries who continue to support CTN financially by paying to broadcast their message on CTN..

Great pastors, speakers and teachers like the Rev. Dan Betzer of the First Assembly of God in Fort Myers, Florida should cower in shame for their financial support of such a shameless and irresponsible television network…

Just because there’s a plaque labelled “Jesus” hanging over the door doesn’t mean He lives in the house…

The Bible tells us the anti-christ will deceive “the very elect.” Observing people like Rodney Howard Brown and the corporate church system supporting the outlets touting such false doctrines…it’s clear to see the deception has begun…

  33. Tom says:

Pastor Randle, in 1984 I was saved and delivered from a life of crime in a well know crime family in NYC. After attending a Bible College God called me into full time ministry ministering to those who were incarcerated and had lost all hope. I ministered in Youth Detention
Centers and Jails and prisons 6 days a week. On Sundays I got my battery charged to go back in. God had also called me to preach in churches across the USA and overseas. Many, many, came to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. I NEVER charged a speaking fee, I only asked that my travel expenses be taken care of and a love offering be taken for the ministry. I was ordained through the Church of God for your info. Anyway 3 individuals who are not Christian, attend no church or ever mention a Pastors name have created websites calling me a fraud, causing me to lose 168 speaking engagements in 1 year!!! It’s sad that some Pastors believed what they read instead of contacting me. The false accusations against me could have easily be proven false if the many churches I have spoken in since the early 90s would have stood up for me saying the accusations were false, but none did. And a few made millions off my testimony they featured on their TV and radio shows. One particular well know ministry did a 2 and a half year background investigation on me and said on their radio show everything I said was true, yet they did not back me up after making over a million dollars on that radio broadcast. To say I was hurt would be an under statement. Because no one but myself defended me my mailing list went from 12K to less than 300 in only a few months. My support went down to almost nothing. I would fully understand if I was guilty of the accusations but only God and myself know I am not.
The reason I am sharing this is because very few people like you do actually look into every aspect and detail and check with Scriptures to see what is false and what isnt. Pastor Randles, all I have ever done in close to 30 years of full time ministry is use Scripture and Scripture only to lead the lost and hurting to Christ. No dog and pony shows, nothing mystical, no pleas for big $$$$$. In fact, I was blacklisted from most name it and claim it TV shows because I didnt believe in their theology and told then so.I have never solicited any speaking engagement in close to 30 years. Pastors who have heard of my ministry call me and invite me to speak in their churches and local jails and prisons. My website ONLY asks for donations at Christmas time to buy gifts for the wives and children of the men who are incarcerated that we minister to.
We need to pray for any minister or ministries that have strayed from the Gospel and manipulate people into giving money for their own purpose and greed.

This site was encouraging to me as I relate to the kind of attacks you describe
Over 49 years of 2 Tim 2:15 has been quite an education as I have walked after the Lord

I am oresently “eating and digesting ” material I find quite edifying and useful to the study of the scriptures which adhere to what is written and to whom it is addressed

There are some who still respect the preserved word of God and I am thankful

Perhaps you and anyone concerned about this would be able to glean from perusing this site and giving a listen and then study further what is taught to see if it is so

      Grace ambassadors dot com

Justin Johnson among others of the Body of Christ enjoy and seek the truth rightly divided for the edification of the saints

May your heart be encouraged by the manifest wisdom of God found in these epistles of Paul revealing the mystery hid in God from before the foundation of the world

I met You 40 years ago and I’m thankful we didn’t have PC’s, Androids, Tablets, Notebooks, Laptops, and IPhones. We had You, Your Book, and bodies gathering in real time for discussions. Reading all these comments is exasperating. I even posted one. Forgive me Jesus. Forgive all of us. You love each and every one of us unconditionally. Regardless of our differences. We need you desperately Lord. Help us to do Your Kingdom work Your Way. Protect us from evil. Thank You for coming and living on Planet Earth to show us The Way home. We are watching and waiting for Your return. Come Lord Jesus, Come. Love, Your daughter.

You sad religious losers the only thing I have to say to you is that people like YOU are responsible for the way America is today, a den of vipers aborting millions of unborn children, murdering each other, turning away from the true power and blessing of God. Men like Rodney walk in the power and provision of God and have changed the lives of many. Your empty rhetoric changes nothing, you simply placate your own kind with your self-righteous empty rhetoric. America needs less people like you and more people like Rodney. Less people like you and more people like Trump.

Before you make yourself the judge or pride yourself as a whistle blower perhaps you need to encounter God in a new way. Be blessed brother…

I found this article (ironically) looking for Dr Rodney Howard Browne. I would like to visit his church im Tampa, FL and possibly ask someone pray for me and my family. This article seems very hateful and the bible says a house divided against itself cannot stand. Marl 3:25 and the bible also states in llTimothy 3:1-5 3 But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. 2 People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3 without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, 4 treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God— 5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people. The interviews and sermons I’ve seen Dr Browne is not any of this. My final thought on what the bible says is this: Matt 18:15 “If your brother or sister sins, go and point out their fault, just between the two of you. If they listen to you, you have won them over. My question is this; have you met DrBrowne? Do you know him at all? Have you made any attempt to reach pit to him as a brother on Christ, in love? And talk about your concerns as the bible outlines? If you have, would you please add that to the conversation? Until then, this is my take on this article Matt 7:5 New International Version
You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.
    With love,
    Sister Christian

What r you doing to advance the Kingdom of God, you better be very careful speaking against people that r actually helping people, you r getting close to blaspheming Holy Spirit and you know those consequences. Listen to his whole message before you criticize, please.

Good on you, Ricky, I totally agree.
I was there twice when he ministered, it was such a GREAT BLESSING for everybody.
      The messages were also awesome:)

  39. Eva Harmath says:

This website is a SHAME, you just allow those comments, what you like, you will answer to God for accusing the Lord’s anointed ministers.
I bet you have not been any of these kind of service. Being drunk from the Holy Spirit is real, everything can change after that. I have experienced, and many brothers and sisters in the Lord in our church. Healings, freedom, forgiveness, joy…lots of good fruits. The good tree bears good fruit.
It is a good source, If you ask for Holy Spirit, He will not give you stones or scorpions.
Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and every city or house divided against itself will not stand. If Satan casts out Satan, he is divided against himself. How then will his kingdom stand?
No matter, supporting comments can not be seen, God can see them.
Who are you to judge another’s servant? To his own master he stands or falls.

This is what happens when people don’t know or don’t heed 2 Tim 2:15

To rightly divide Gods Word brings to light the errors of many if not most of Christianity as preached and practiced today

I have enjoyed further learning anlkng this line of right division bible study with sites like Grace Amabassadors .com

Justin Johnson is a teacher who holds the KJB high and leads listeners to see how to respect the preserved Bible and how it is divided for our understanding what is addressed to the Body of Christ according to the mystery Jesus Christ revealed to Paul .

I have enjoyed this site as well but offer the other with a loving admiration for the students here who also desire to grow thereby.

Rodney is among many who snare others ..sincere in their intention but are short of Biblical knowledge and how it is rightly divided

I figure if God has warned us that believers who are saved could also be ashamed when examined for rewards according to how they studied the Word and how they divided it according to Gods working in each time with specific people …then I needed to examine this approach to study .

I have found it excellent …and unique in the fifty years I have spent listening and studying among many who made effort to teach scripture .

Thank you for your continued efforts Bill!

Does God have humor, and does he ever joke? If yes, when does God or His people use them ? I will not answer. The answer is in the Scripture for everyone who want to find it.

Never attended the guys church but will go to see what Pentecostalism truly is outside of the evangelist shysters. You’ve thrown a lot of accusations against this man, yet you have shown 0 proof, what you posted here is just drivel honestly.

Everyone just pukes out word of faith, name it claim it, I listened to a few of his sermons including the latest one about the Corona virus, never did I hear him preach the prosperity gospel, like Joel Olsteen does all day long.

Even if he has his flaws he’s spoken more truth then you nor 99% of pastors that cower in fear behind the pulpit. You bring up BIBLICAL SUBJECTS like the whole world under Satan’s dominion and people in power, which leads to such historically proven things like people in power trying to dominate the world and control it, and Satanic worship as seen over and over in the bible of rulers and the principalities behind them.

Yet 99% of pastors mock, laugh, and dismiss such biblical notions of demons and Satan being behind majority of world rulers. And deny the book of revelations, how on earth do you get Anti-Christ and a One World Government without Satan behind world rulers?

Next time you take that beam and jam into a fellow pastor maybe you should apply your own advice, or maybe have a much stronger argument with actual proof backing up your claims.

Experiencing signs of the holy spirit is not proof of heresy, don’t even understand how pastors make such base arguments. Ohh no they are speaking in tongues that means they are heretical….What? So healings and demons being casted out are perfectly fine, but all the other signs that you claim lordship over aren’t?

Even says in the end times the holy spirit signs will return more-so, yet somehow we pick and choose which signs are heretical and which aren’t. And guess what I saw on those videos even when people thanked him, he always corrected them and thanked Jesus…..

But thank you for writing such a poor hit piece, now I will def. go and check this guy out, if he’s being attacked with 0 basis.

Shame on you. I was also a skeptic and so was my husband. We were in New Orleans where my son was attending college. Our son asked us to go hear Rodney Howard Browne. Reluctantly, my husband and I went with our son to one of his meeting. For my husband and I, it was a turning point in our spiritual walk. My husband is now in his new home with the Lord. I thank God for giving an opportunity for my husband and myself to feel a touch of heaven in one Pastor Rodney’s meeting. If you have issues with Pastor Rodney, go talk to him. Don’t smear him to the world. We live in Antichrist atmosphere in this world, especially right now. All you are doing is the devil’s work in the fragile place the Christian Church finds itself today. It’s unfortunate that those who go around pointing the finger at others, fails to see God’s three fingers and a thumb back at them. Will be praying for you. For a House Divided can not stand.
