Leftism; The Difference between Spiritual and Political-

Evidently it is very offensive for some who read this blog, when I decry “the Left”, and when I espouse somewhat of a conservative outlook. More than a few of my brothers and sisters in Christ have challenged me that I am being “political”, and not Spiritual.

I appreciate the concern, and the willingness of those concerned to call me out on what they think is a drift away from the Prophecy analysis and Biblical Exposition, which I usually offer. “Faithful are the wounds of a friend”.

I don’t consider myself ‘political’, I think of myself as ‘Spiritual’. As far as I can tell, I write and think from a God centered and Biblical perspective.

I don’t have a ‘party’ which I identify with, (I loathe the Republican Party, almost as much as I loathe the Democrat party). I do not believe there is a political solution to our national problems. I have no doubt that our nation will go the way of all nations that ‘forget God’. Psalm 9 tells us:

The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God. (Psalm 9:17)

I realize this and mourn over it greatly. All that remains is to try to urge people to see what is happening, and to get them to repent and receive the gospel. That is not a political perspective by any measure, it is a Kingdom of God, realism perspective.

Having said that, I do decry “Leftism”, or “the left”, and for that there are some who passionately warn me against being ‘political’.

First of all they think I am being one-sided, ‘why don’t you criticize the right?”, as if I have to be careful to constantly balance everything out in the name of fairness.

For example, would a critic of Naziism in the 1930’s who happened to be a Pastor, have to make sure his criticisms of Naziism are balanced with criticisms of the Social Democrat party or any other of the German political parties that were in existence in those days? Would criticizing Naziism make him any less Christian, if he didn’t also criticize the others? Would criticizing Naziism prove that the pastor was political and unspiritual?

I think not. That should be obvious. Naziism was and is blatant evil, it would be the job of German Pastors to criticize and call it out in the same ways the Prophets of the Bible called out the Baals and other idolatries.

It is as a Christian that I call out Leftism. In fact Leftism has infiltrated all of our political Parties. It is a cancerous blight, an idolatry based on a Utopian fantasy, which ruins everything precious in society. Leftism in both major political parties has given us the Abomination of Abortion on Demand and has thus cheapened human life, desecrated the sacredness of women, and perverted the natural instincts to love, nourish and cherish human life.

Leftism has also spawned Abortion’s deformed twin, so called Gay marriage and sexual anarchy.

I hate leftism, because it is evil. has nothing to do with any political party, the cancer is in both lungs of America now, and we are dying. We are to hate and decry evil.

As a Pastor shouldn’t I be able to make a diagnosis, and call out for repentance. I know that our nation is under judgment and is dying, but didn’t all of the prophets explain to sinners what they were dying of and call them to repentance?

There are some who accuse us of loving and worshipping President Trump. I do love Trump, but not as a Savior, but as a sinner who God has allowed to be our leader for the time being. I pray for him, but I do not believe in him the way I believe in Jesus. He has some remarkable gifts and qualities about him, I must admit, but for all I know he could turn out to be the AntiChrist. Who Knows?

He certainly will not save our nation, but in my view he is a reprieve from the deadly, sickening, downward spiral that the Philosophy of leftism has inflicted on us. This sickness is definitely unto death. Are we not to hate it and warn against it?

Some misunderstood our joy when Trump took power in 2016.

It wasn’t ‘political’ it had more to do with the fact that the Clintons are manifestly evil people, who do not have scruples and have engaged in criminal behaviors at the highest levels. Why shouldn’t we be happy we dodged that bullet?

So many Christians are conflicted, due to the humanistic pablum that passes for Bible teaching thee days in some churches. They do not get that ,Yes we are to love the LORD and each other, but also we are to hate Evil! The Clintons are not Christians, they are AntiChristians. After covering our nation with soot for 8 years, they went on to be the advocates of LGBT, Abortion, Planned Parenthood, and virtually everything godless that is bringing judgment on America.

Should I criticize the right? Why? What do you mean ‘Right”. In theory, one group (the right) stands for personal responsibility, the right to self defense, religious liberty, freedom of speech, and the conservation of our Judeo Christian culture.

On the other hand the other group, (the Left), stands for the deconstruction of our borders, group identity, Abortion, sexual anarchy, State control of Education and every other facet of life, Government funded illegitimacy… so on and so forth.

Has nothing to do with Party, both Democrat and Republican are totally infiltrated by Leftism.

The real urgency I have is that I see leftism as an alternative religion which will damn people’s souls. I do not believe one can be a leftist and a Christian. How could any Christian belong to a movement which promotes abortion, and sexual anarchy.

Another form of Leftism is currently making many into converts, through the use of false guilt. I speak of the BLM movement, (Founded by a Lesbian) and yet which is responsible for the murder of policemen in Dallas and God knows where else, and which openly calls for the slaying of Policemen.

And yet so many are taking to the streets, (indeed in many, many cases peacefully) but chanting the slogans of this hateful and in fact ‘racist’ movement, which condemns and criticize people who insist that “All Lives Matter”. God says? Man was made in the Image of God”, therefore all lives matter.

I have come to realize that Leftism is a powerful, godless political religion, which is a rival to Christianity, and will one day persecute us as they have in every nation that adopted it’s tenets in the last century. It demands sacrifices, brings judgment on those it hates, and is virulently atheist at the core.

Should I ignore that, as a man of God, and just stick to preaching?

I Am Preaching! Maranatha!!!!

Thank you Ps Bill for your honesty and faithfulness. So continue blessing us with your insightful articles.

Amen Pastor Bill…as we see so many bowing to this “leftist truth” that is indeed full of racism and hatred, we are called to point out the real and only truth that matters, God’s perfect plan for man…repentance and salvation! Thank you for always standing on the side of Righteousness, and for your boldness…you are in our prayers.

  4. Christopher says:

Do red lives matter? Do brown lives matter? Do yellow lives matter? Do black lives matter? Do white lives matter?

It all depends on the person under that infinitesimal facade of pigmentation. Will he chose to make his life “matter” or will he be the “chaff which the wind driveth away”?

“Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.

Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous. For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish” (Psalms 1:1-6).

    • Jeanne T. says:

Well said. The BLM organization says nothing about the genocide against black Christians in, for example, Kenya and Nigeria. Just last week a black pastor in Nigeria was murdered by insurgents, who also murdered his pregnant wife. They left behind eight children, ranging in ages from 1 to 19. There is a genocide being committed against African Christians in Africa. This is well documented

BLM charter (not necessarily all those who support BLM, hopefully) supports the BDS movement against Israel. That is anti-Semitic. It does not address the issue of abortion, of Planned Parenthood’s history of targeting minority neighborhoods. If black lives really mattered to BLM, they might be protesting outside of PP clinics, not destroying minority businesses and neighborhoods. You don’t have to support BLM to understand that yes, black lives indeed do matter, all around the world that idea didn’t originate with BLM. It originated in the Scriptures. Followers of Jesus Christ have no business supporting it. The ideology of Islam enslaved the blacks of Africa and Muslim tribes were complicit in enslaving Africans before the Transatlantic Slave Trade. This is also well documented. Muhammed hated blacks; he called them “raisin heads”. BLM is apparently ignorant of this history. Islam is THE quintessential “racist”and supremacist ideology in the world today.

  5. Silverdire says:

Well done Bill, keep it up. Indeed “leftism” is evil and has no place in real Christianity.
You mention “BLM” and one of its founder being a lesbian… Not only that but at least one of the co-founders is also being found member of a so called “Fraternities and/or Sororities” which also George W. Bush, George H.W. Bush, Bill Clinton, Ronald Reagan, Gerald Ford, and Franklin Roosevelt” were educated by. That should give an insight in the kind of influence and direction we are as a society subjected to.
Yes indeed “Leftism” has infiltrated all of our political Parties” and is “committed to deconstruction of borders” and all the policies that tend to bring globalism, N.W.O and a single world government. In other words, another attempt to restructure the Tower of Babel of old which God abhorred.
Well Christians who do not see that they may prepare themselves, would do well to focus on some serious soul searching and with all due respect, grow up a little rather than trying to withhold a brother suggesting of drifting “away from the Prophecy analysis and Biblical Exposition”. If there is such thing as Prophecy analysis and Biblical Exposition, “it is it”, in understanding the times we’re living in.
So well done Bill. To my view your insight on the matter is right on, as you see it!

  6. Jim Phelps says:

Agree with you completely! Keep preaching the truth ,you are accountable to God not mans theology!

  7. Entirely agree – it’s exactly the same in UK. It’s very sad when even ‘Christians’ are infected with this evil and are blinded to the truth. People are entitled to their own opinion – but that’s all it is – their opinion. Keep defending the faith Bill! Many blessings …

  8. Sue Atkins says:

Keep contending for the faith Pastor Bill! You are one answer to prayer ‘ Please Lord raise up voices that reflect Your heart’, in this Godless atmosphere. Amen.

  9. Donna Thomas says:

Thank you Bill Randles. This article was such a blessing. I am spreading it around. You are so right- Leftism needs to be spoken out against, especially by Christians.

  10. Israel Leon says:

I agree pastor Bill Randal. Your preaching things pastors should have been preaching 20 years ago, eve 15 years ago we would Not be where we’re at.

Preachers have refused to challenge this nations sin From the pulpit and now the church Is locked out from worshipping GOD together.

The Supreme Court ruled against the Church from worshipping GOD together, denied by judges Appointed by democratic presidents that many Christians voted for.

  11. Lynda Brymesser says:

Thought I would forward this to you. All about trusting God & not man or political parties. God.. is the One who created us. May our trust be in Him alone! Thank you Lord! Love Mom

  12. Robin says:

Since you mentioned “false guilt” and the Black Lives Matter movement, Pastor Randles, I’d like to address something: If any Christian has resentments, ill will, hatred, anger, etc. toward others for whatever the cause – even if justified — my advice would be to petition God until He delivers you and gives you peace — so that you can be free to keep your focus on Christ and continue to do His will – all other things are distractions and hindrances that direct us away from God.

Talking about our individual grievances with like-minded others isn’t always liberating or productive – sometimes it does the opposite – it gives life and a foothold to sin.

As believers, if we cannot speak peace to certain divisive subjects, then we really ought not speak at all.

To do otherwise, to participate in that which contributes to division and keeps it thriving, is simply to continue stirring the pot. The end result becomes just another spot or wrinkle added to our garments and brings justifiable overdue judgement.

1 Peter 2:9 — But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people to be his very own and to proclaim the wonderful deeds of the one who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.

1 Peter 2:15-17 — For it is God’s will that by doing right you should silence the ignorant talk of foolish people. Live like free people, and do not use your freedom as an excuse for doing evil. Instead, be God’s servants. Honor everyone. Keep on loving the community of believers, fearing God, and honoring the king.

    • billrandles says:

Thank you very much Robin I appreciate. Your input, and
Hope we can stay in touch. “ false guilt” is a real phenomenon which is currently presenting itself (IMHO) as a rival to the Christian gospel. There is a true moral guilt, which all men have in common, and for which , as you know, Jesus suffered and died. It is not corporate guilt, it is individual, it is not limited to a specific sub-group of people, it is universal, and thankfully there has already been made a redemption for it.
Why assume I am writing out of “personal frustration”? I am seriously writing as a minister of Christ, addressing what I see as a false religion. That is doing the Will of God.?
      The Gospel is the answer

      • Robin says:

Many of the talking points you’ve made in your post sounded familiar to me – because they’re straight from the Trump-supporter’s handbook.

Romans 12:2: And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what [is] that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

There is a deception at play here with Donald Trump and some in the church. He is an idol that has been set up within the body of Christ.

Politics is a part of this world’s system, and the system through which the Antichrist will be established.

I often hear some say whenever something bad happens as a result of someone’s evil actions that “America or Americans are better than this.” If you do something evil, it’s what’s in you – it is you. We all have that capacity. However, Christians are “better than this” whenever we allow the Christ within us to prevail and shine.”

If more Christians would put their zeal and passion into Christ and His kingdom that is approaching, instead of politics, God would increase the number of souls won for Christ – time is short. And, we need to be what we are supposed to be: proof that God is, and that there is a better kingdom coming.

The kind of zeal I’m talking about, Pastor Randles is Luke 2:49 “And he said unto them, How is it that ye sought me? wist ye not that I must be about my Father’s business?”

The church must be about our Father’s business. Time is short; and as one of the commenters here stated, “I can’t believe why this needs to be explained.”

      • billrandles says:

I really appreciate your input Robin, but it is grossly unfair to dismiss my valid concerns as mere “Trump talking points” . I think dialogue is good and important but only when done in good faith. My perspective, whether it is right or wrong has nothing to do with Trump or the Republican Party.

    • Jeanne T. says:

Where can I find the “Trump Supporter’s Handbook”? I’ve never heard of it. Do you have a link?

  13. Can’t believe you even have to explain this!!

  14. Onesimus says:

Jesus answered, “My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, My servants would fight, so that I should not be delivered to the Jews; but now My kingdom is not from here.”

Go, preach, saying, ‘The kingdom of heaven is at hand.’ Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give.

  15. Joan Janet Segar says:

You are just preaching the truth of the Bible, love it….blessings Bill

  16. Carol Tharp says:

The division seems sharper every day between those who see their need for a Savior and those who believe they can save the planet if only everyone were as sweet as they believe they are! Keep preaching it, Brother. Surely hell will be populated with those gnashing their teeth at God that He didn’t give them enough time and opportunity to bring perfection on this earth. Therein lies the difference between the saved and the unsaved. Come, Lord Jesus.

  17. Marleen says:

Mr. Randles. I have been what is likely what you regard as “conservative” all of my life. Like Paul could say he was circumcised the eighth day and so on and so forth, I have done and believed the right things. But God had to show me I was partially blind; that mode is not seeing things quite right. It doesn’t fix it to say you aren’t talking about political things but Spiritual. Seeing “the right” as Spiritual is only restating that you’re missing part of the picture. As Paul didn’t stop being a Jew and Jewish when he saw the bigger picture, I didn’t stop living a clean life or valuing life when I saw the bigger picture; I valued these even all the more. That might be difficult for “a conservative” to imagine, but it’s true.

Now, this pleading not to be political came up, at this time, under your “Satan Desires …… …” blog topic. So it is relevant what tangential and unclarified (or, as Robin said, vague) details you brought up under the rubric of George Floyd. I said, there, as a follow-up to an earlier post of mine there [although you keep wanting or choosing to ignore and not post through said follow-up]: …my granting there was use of hyperbole has to do with the word “Lucifer” (as quoted earlier). Additionally, the reported social media musing [which is what had been quoted then] wasn’t from a religious figure or pastor.

[It is at least a little different if a religious figure mistakenly labels something Luciferian, a false or evil religion, or categorically worse than all other things, than if a random unknown person of no notariety does so. However, both can be observed as mistaken. Or questioned as to whether or not they are mistaken.]

I don’t think observing fascism in Republicans [also of the quoted musing] is an exaggeration [always]. However, our entire country [that is including Democrats and Libertarians, too, as the most accepted selections along with Republicans for power] is moving to fascism with little resistance from Democrats or a stray Republican here and there.

[In a similar way to how I don’t think Wisconsin Republicans are the most fascist in the country or the absolute picture of Lucifer — while I am certainly not in touch with whatever is Luciferian or most evil or even most fascist — I don’t view protests in favor of reformation in this country as an evil cult.]

I assume you are aware, Mr. Randles, people referring to “the original sin” of the United States is in metaphor. It’s not as if anyone believes sin originated in America. However, it’s fact that there’s been a huge freedom void under the banner of freedom. So I take it that you don’t truly mean there is a replacement “religion” based on that.

  18. Beautifully put. Clarification for all

  19. David says:

Well said Pastor Bill. The Israelites turned against Moses. Instead of supporting him through the crisis they cursed him, actually they were cursing God. I wonder if these people are truly follows of Jesus.
    Keep telling the truth brother.
    Your brother in Christ, David

    • Marleen says:

See… anyone can feel like a victim. Or claim being on the victimized “side.” [Hint: I do think there is such thing as being victimized or wronged. I don’t think it’s evil to recognize such facts.]

You do make a point to ponder: both approaches (seeing the right as Spiritual [rather than spiritual] versus seeing both “the” left and right as corrupt) can’t be true at the same time.

Therefore, the question is how merciful and gracious the LORD of lords will be when we meet him and no longer see through a glass darkly. You seem to indicate… not very. Where-to-for…

I implore. Consider seriously the words…
“Faithful are the wounds of a friend”.

  20. GJ says:

To declare racism, is it racism, itself?

God created us with unique features, and yes, different skin colors. To shame, or single out, any person for this… is it not the same as being ashamed of being created male or female? We’re not all the same “carbon copy”.

The world is trying to erase gender… the identity of an individual… the image of male and female created in the image of God… which according to God, also includes a national identity. Israel will be a nation, and there will be Gentile nations, after Christ Jesus returns.

Are there atrocious abuses in this world? Yes, it’s not limited to race… it includes the “discrimination” against the lives and business that have been destroyed in the last few months in the name of… “self-righteousness”—that “I’m a god who gets to choose who suffers and who is vindicated”.

The socialism of the left… the warped take on capitalism of the ”pseudo-right”… both hunger for theft induced cheap credit at the hands of the Fed. This fuels their appetite for fat stock and asset portfolios and more opulent homes and cars that can’t be purchased with cash from savings through profitable productivity of “working with your hands quietly”. They could care less about the interests of others… only filling their own belly from “lording it over others” (stealing from others)—unless Jesus Christ returns, nothing will be left for anyone.

Slavery is not the end of all—through it, Judah was saved out of Babylon… I’m saved out of this world if I stay submitted as the Lord’s slave. Through “captivity”, we’re saved—fight it off at all costs and we perish. https://hopeishereblog.wordpress.com/willing/

  21. Jeanne T. says:

“The only time I will take a knee is when the Beast’s sword is on my neck, because I will refuse to give my allegiance to the Beast…….The Beast is coming. And he is coming to demand unqualified worship. Will you bow the knee out of fear to save your life? Jesus is the only one worthy to give our allegiance to.”

When my dad died, there was a military honors [because my dad was in the Air Force for a time] aspect to the funeral at the gravesite. This was after the famous rejection of the football player, Colin Kaepernick, and his kneeling. When a military representative knelt to give my mother the folded flag, my mother (a Trump fan) looked very uncomfortable — as if the man (who looked like a sweet fella from next door) had done something shocking. Without the young black man of infamy doing what he did before football games, she would have been fine with the situation… always having been very John-Philip-Souza in spirit. So, have we uncovered a long-standing wrong?

  22. Leftists are evil says:

If you really have any doubt about whether Leftists are pure evil satanic minions, all you have to know is they SELL baby body parts for PROFIT, and we have a Democrat governor in Virginia who publicly advocated for POST-BIRTH abortion. By not condemning their fellow leftists and by voting for them, they are active participants in this PURE EVIL! These people are sick!

NEVER FORGET how evil they are!

Now, they are attempting to takeover Christianity and our churches with “muh feelz” – openly defying the word of God with their pro-aborotion, pro-transexual, pro-homosexual, pro-communist, pro-diversity (anti-Christian) “religion”. Satan and his leftist minions take glee in defiling our churches and they are on the march!

Pray! Pray! Pray! that we may see these abominations come to an end!

    • Sue says:

Keep saying it Pastor. However I think you might consider tempering it a bit, by recognising these particular Leftists In positions of power are committed to what the Lord says is evil….but they are not all coated with the same brush. Vote them out!

    • Marleen says:

Has anyone around here noticed that under this majority conservative Supreme Court, they made a decision to stand with a right to choose abortion based on the sex of the fetus? To what were they genuflecting? China’s improved economy?

  23. Marleen says:

Echoes of Matthew 11 and Luke 7: He who has ears, let him hear.

To what can I compare this generation? They are like children sitting in the marketplaces and calling out …

They said of John, ‘He has a demon!’

  24. Leftists are evil says:

Let us not forget that satan is the great “accuser” and that is exactly what these insane radical satanic communist leftist antifa BLMs are doing – ACCUSING people of crimes they did not commit and attempting to assign guilt to others for things they did not do.

    • Marleen says:

So, your stand is that there is no alarming racism in the United States and no need for reform in police departments? And the constant accusations against the left, leaving the right alone, are fine to you. You can complain about “the” left all you want. But if you don’t see what is wrong with the right, it’ll be your own loss.
