There Is Always Hope in Jesus… Faith Hope and Love pt 1

No matter what comes in this life, there is always hope in Jesus.

What I mean is that no matter how bad things can get in this life, the one who believes in Jesus always has something better to look forward to.

This is because the most important aspect of life is to be made right with your Creator. When he hung between heaven and earth on the cross of the curse of God, Jesus cleared up the issues which separated us sinners from our Creator. He put us back on God’s side, and made a way for the LORD to accept us sinners as his own children.

Hope deferred maketh the heart sick: but when the desire cometh, it is a tree of life.(Proverbs 3:12)

The Bible says that “Hope Deffered makes the heart sick…” .  This generation suffers immensely from a terrible heart sickness. Our post Christian world has inculcated children into various false, godless gospels, such as the gospel of self esteem, or of socialism, or human potential, or the current gospel of sexual anarchy, or the gospel of consumerism and technology.

These and many other atheistic fad gospels of the past sixty years, have literally created a heart sick, nihilistic, jaded and debauched generation; sated with experiences of all kinds, promising a bright and godless future, yet leaving them with nothing to look forward to.

The symptoms of this heart sickness are; boredom, jadedness, nihilism, disrespect for the human body ( Sexual sin and tattoos, piercing) and intense cynicism. This heart sickness is at the root of the suicide epidemic sweeping the world.

What is there to look forward to? What experiences haven’t this jaded generation already had? They have already been sexualized, stimulated and over-entertained, and pychologized (self esteem), what remains? Only the Utopian politicization that the left is herding them into in the schools and Universities.

The message of scripture desperately needed by this generation is simple, “There is Hope in Jesus…” .

When people are told that they can have everything in this life, and that the meaning of life is to extract as much living as possible from it, they usually end up sad and depressed, because they come to realize that at its very best, this life is still unsatisfying and vain. “Vanity of vanities… all is vanity”.

The gospel completely re-orients us and delivers our disappointed souls from the false message, for we see that this life is only a preparation and proving ground for the next life.

Jesus puts us back “in the right” with God, (righteousness) and shows us a future that God has ordained for those who will be his. This is what Christian hope is; it is not a mere wish or an ideal, it is a secure and sure future.

Peter tells us we are “born again to a Living hope…To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you…”(1 Peter 1:3-9)

Jesus has promised us a Kingdom, New bodies, a New Heaven and a new Earth, a new Life with the Father in heaven where there are no more sorrows, tears, pains or disappointments. Jesus himself is described as “our hope” who has gone into heaven before us and serves as an anchor of our souls, holding our place there.

No matter what befalls us in this sin sick and sorry world, the Christian has something better to look forward to. We have a hope that has sustained Christians to endure persecution, trial, and even death with calm courage and confidence that their toil and labor and pains are never in vain, God will use all of them for our good and his glory.

I think God offers us a deep and abiding relationship with Him in this world and we don’t have to just wait for a better life in the next. God is always working for our good in this life and He is always with us to help us, that’s not chopped liver until we get to heaven. You make it sound like the Christian life is all dreariness until then, I don’t think the same.
I do agree with the life of people without Jesus, however…

With Jesus, we have everything any King or G-d can give. with out Jesus we have nothing to look forward to. He tells us do not worry about who can kill the body but worry about who can kill the soul. we must be born again. and that is to except his love of giving HIS life for us, we love HIM because HE fist loved us. Reading HIS precious Word, who would not love it or HIM. HE said: I AM the way the truth and the life, no one can come to the Father except threw HIM. He is the same yesterday today and forever and ever. He said: I AM the L-rd your G-d and I AM the WORD. How very precious. Who thinks we can serve two master’s. NO only one. so many think it is ok to love and live like the world. NO we can’t and who would throw their life away and also we KNOW HE is coming soon. He told us prophecy would happen just the way HE told us. no one can change it. HE gave us a CHOICE, to serve HIM or the world. I choose my precious Savior and the eternal life with HIM forever. complete peace and happiness. Forever and ever. Time is short, it is overtime to make the choice. please do it today. He is so wonderful… love Joan G-d bless you Bill, always praying for you and thanking G-d for you.. my nick name is KIM, do no use it anymore. love my name my mama gave me. and I too will see all my loved ones there as they lived for HIM.

  3. DMarie says:

    Amen!
“This HOPE we have as an anchor for the soul, a HOPE both SURE and STEADFAST.”
    Hebrews 6:19

  4. Greg J says:

You’ve made me remember… “all is vanity”… and he summed up true fulfillment…
13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. 14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil. Ecclesiastes 12

2 By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments. 3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous. 1 John 5

  5. Jeannette says:

    Luke 21:28

  6. Phil says:

Good day. I do agree with what you say 100%. THERE IS HOPE IN JESUS. But it became hard to hold on day after day after day after day when you have to face the challenges of every day living. The Challenges of live in America looks significantly different than those in other parts of the world. Being white and a Christian and living in a country like South Africa, you are constantly reminded of the fact that Iron and clay don’t mix. As a minority group you are excluded from jobs by affirmative action. (Yes in South Africa affirmative action is favoring the majority). You are constantly told that you and your culture don’t have a place and space in this world. Racism from all possible angles is more alive today than at any time during apartheid. Different sets of rules apply to the media when reports on so called hate crimes that are committed by different race groups. The gay and lesbian agenda are being driven by the media and sadly they are looking to a perverted Hollywood for guidance. If you dare changeling or oppose this views you are the bad person. Commonsense is a very hard commodity find. The church in South Africa are into the charismania of the day or a mix with African witchcraft. (or they are in bitter disputes with the church in England that are destroying the faith of many, as the flock that once looked up to these people for guidance don’t understand the bitter example of love they are given!!!!)
Yes our hope cannot be in this world, and we must hold on to Jesus, but it is sometimes really difficult.

  7. Very encouraging words brother. Without Him we have nothing. Thank you for writing this.
